Higgy is calling the pitches. If he forgets the count, he calls the wrong pitch in the sequence and the hitter can capitalize depending on how bad the pitch selection and location is based on the actual count vs what Higgy thought the count was

Putting a healthy DJ on the bench is both a clown move and the wrong move. When he’s been healthy and not playing through injury he’s been the arguably the best leadoff hitter in baseball and is a top 5-10 MVP candidate. We also pay him to get at least 500 ABs if healthy

2018 Chris Sale haunts me as a Yankee fan. He abused us game 1 and then came in relief to shut us down for an inning. People talk about the lineup from the 2018 Sox but forget that Chris Sale in 2018 was on another level of pitching. 2.21 era 0.86 whip with 237 k’s in only 158 IP

It isn’t the worst. Hicks, unlike Gallo, doesn’t chase at all. Gallo was in the 61st percentile chase rate wise and Hicks was in the 93rd percentile. Hicks was a quality at bat last year that just happened to not slug one bit last year

The 76ers were the 4 seed not the 1 seed last year. Jokic shot more efficiently, played more games, grabbed more boards, had double the assists. Denver had the same record as the 5 seeded Raptors, 3 games worse than the 76ers

Well no, the industry consensus is that the Padres are crazy for asking for more for renting Soto than what they gave up to get 2.5 years of control of him. Yanks know they have the best talent to offer SDP for their needs and it’s not even close

From what I understand, the purpose of the pitch is dual purposed
1) It seems like he throws it a couple of different ways. If there is pronation/straight up while throwing, the ball will tail more as the ball drops off of the table (this is the “ghost” part of it)

As a player overall, defense. As a hitter, Judge has been doing what Seager did this year for a couple of years ops wise. Seager is a phenomenal hitter, but you can’t just forget that Aaron Judge has been the best hitter on baseball since 2021

Since 2021: Judge is 1st in ops league wide with a 1.017 ops, Ohtani is 2nd with a .964, Trout is right behind with a .963 and Yordan follows. Seager could easily put himself at the top of the league with another year like this next year considering we know what he can do
