@Bergeron_MLB @EdHand89 Oh yeah, I’d totally be down to check in just for funsies. There is no downside to that. I’m mostly saying that I’m not sure that a level of desperation exists that would cause the Cardinals to offer a deal that would actually be worth it for the Red Sox to seriously consider.

@Bergeron_MLB @EdHand89 Short of the Cardinals eating like, 90% of his contract and taking only taking someone like Blaze or Nazzan as a headliner, I’m not sure what could be done to make bringing Arenado onto the Red Sox worth their while at this point.

@WallyEatsCats I think 2025 will be used to transition Devers to DH. It won’t happen overnight. He will get more and more games at DH throughout the season, then they will announce a more permanent move next year where Bregman slides to 3rd (if he doesn’t opt out) and Campbell takes over 2nd.

This dude used to run baseball teams.
I do believe that Bregman would be a plus plus defender at 2B but if I were the #RedSox I would move Devers to 1B Casas to DH and play Bregman at 3B. Just an opinion.

I fully get that Cora has to defend his player, but I still can’t get over how much it sucks that Aroldis Chapman plays for my favorite baseball team.
Cora said one of the goals this offseason was to get Chapman to work more in-zone and limit BB%. Also said he’s been a great teammate and demonstrates good work ethic - first one in every day.
