Where is the research money? The Dutch government have just put in 1.4 million into trials for paediatric treatment resistant epilepsy and the use of Bedrocan #cannabis oils. Why is @10DowningStreet not doing the same for the #children in the #uk.

The law change made it harder and more expensive to get our son’s medicinal cannabis.

Why would they try bromide that is unlicensed but not a medication with a little THC in it?

Minnie has not got time to wait for U.K. trials to start in the U.K. She needs access now! Will @10DowningStreet allow more children to suffer?

It's outrageous that access to THC medicine is denied—even in palliative care. Why is death viewed as a more acceptable option than effective treatment? Minnie is on unlicensed potassium bromide after other treatments failed. @wesstreeting if that's permissible, why not cannabis oil with THC? #EndOurPain

End our pain specifically raised Minnie’s case before Christmas! Minnie’s case highlights the urgent need for access to observational trials as was the case in 2013 for a child in a similar position. @wesstreeting, children need your immediate help!

@Cuddy_Splatter @wesstreeting @End_Our_Pain I’ve played it outside parliament! People were shocked and stopped to ask us about it. That was for just a few hours.

@Gamesreaper69 @wesstreeting @End_Our_Pain No they shouldn’t, especially when they have given the exact same medicine to three other children given government access. Also, a child in 2013 was given the first individual licence to obtain cannabis medicine before U.K. trials on an observational basis.

@senmum05 I totally agree. I once said the same thing to a daily mail journalist who said she had never viewed it in that way. We give children morphine as treatment so we should be giving access to cannabis treatment.

@MedCannUser @End_Our_Pain I would keep trying. If they continue to receive correspondence about the issue then they have to acknowledge there is a problem. Especially six years on!

@marclanders @End_Our_Pain @RobinsonBee @AlastairFeeBBC @Fieldfisher Children have died waiting for access that was promised. They should be embarrassed by that. @End_Our_Pain group has a two year old child who stops breathing multiple times a day. The neurologists will give that child end of life care before trying a full extract cannabis oil.
