Covidconcious community, I have TO TELL YOU ABOUT TRAVEL DENTISTS. Today I was able to get x-rays, an exam, & a cleaning. Enable Dental (Dallas Tx) sent 2 hygienists & a dentist to my house. All arrived wearing N95s & set up in the shade of my carport. 1/x?

That idea does not work in practice because we live in communities. For example, the cancer patient must sometimes receive medical treatments in-person, at the same place that maskless sick people go for treatment.

Each month I get complex migraines & bleed through everything. I temporarily lose vision and when it's back it's blurry, double or full of auras. There's also vertigo, diarrhea, & vomiting. All "normal limits". Should be considered temporary disability and accommodated as such.

I have a GREAT big spacious front yard with shade. I want to arrange covid-concious outdoor gatherings in it, but know 0 people on Texas that take precautions. I could probably convince people to mask to come over but that feels pointless. I only want to chill with CC people. 😮💨

A license doesn't prevent errors when a system is so completely overwhelmed by demand and doesn't have enough people to serve it. Fatigue, eye strain, lack of adequate resources, increased need, etc etc etc. Human performance does break down at some point.

I literally started sketching ideas for new mammo machines/plates after my first because I couldn't believe how horrendous it was. I've had multiple invasive procedures/surgeries and the mammo was worse than all of them because I'm expected to take it raw. No pain meds, nothing.

If you have neck problems, consider getting a camping recliner for these visits as a folding chair requires you to tip your head back & hold it there using neck muscles. LMK if you have questioms about my experience. I highly recommend this service & I'm so heartened!

They generally set up inside but had 0 problems accommodating my request to be outdoors (even in TX summer heat). 0 issues with wearing N95 masks. I just set up a folding chair for myself & they had travel equipment. 2/x

But honestly this fact is horrifying to me. As someone who has periods that ruin functioning for about 1/2 of each month, nothing is "normal" about them and I'm expected to just carry on as if I don't feel completely terrible. No eating, no sleeping, severe pain, and oh the gut!

I think for a lot of us it's that we learned and raised our standards...and it can be tough to find people that meet them. In my 20s, I didn't prioritize behavior as much if they were fun and not murderous. Now the bar is MUCH higher.
