Last year after a gut wrenching parent teacher conference I made the agonizing decision to switch my son to a new school. Tonight at parent teacher conference I learned my son's scores are now so high he qualifies to skip a grade. This is a wonderful confirmation of our decision.

I just found out a long-time friend and ward member died tragically in a fire last night. His wife got out; he didn't. His daughter is one of my best friends. I've never lost a loved one in violent way. If you have suggestions for how to support this family, please share.

Guys, we're still in the hospital. Dad is still not himself. I work in the medical field. I nursed my mother. I'm really strong with this stuff, but I'm a bit weepy. Worse, my laptop stopped turning on, so no BYU sports, the best thing to help dad. Could use prayers, please.

2018, was had a hard time. My mom had died. My neck was broken. I had a cancer scare. My husband had been laid off. But on this night in 2018, my husband got a job offer and my path report came back cancer free. On this night, a dark time got brighter.

I learn something new everyday! Did you know the football tradition of one team wearing white comes from black and white television?! Having teams each wear their colors made them to difficult to distinguish on a b&w screen, hence always having one team in white.

Guys, I love my husband so much. He practically carried me to the car at church. My muscles were spasming so badly if you didn't know better you'd have thought I was in labor. The whole ward was truly helpful and supportive. But my Doug is the hero of the day. ❤

When my accident happened, my husband's cooking repertoire consisted of pancakes and grilled burgers. Tonight he made rosemary demi glace porkchops with sautéed carrots and mashed potatoes that I'd gladly order at a restaurant. I'm so proud of all the ways he has stepped up.

Tomorrow is ablation day. This is ablation number...12 I think? Outpatient surgery every 6 to 8 months is not a lifestyle I recommend, but it's one I'm grateful to have. If you're the praying type, I would be grateful for your prayers.

I was at the 2018 U of A game, my first "real" outting after breaking my neck. Squally was amazing that night. He stopped to talk to me after the game. He asked about my neck brace, thanked me for coming, & gave me a very gentle high five. He probably doesn't remember, but I do.

1. I was in a ward where this happened with both counselors in the bishopric. What they couldn't support: they were told they couldn't use their position to push their politics - not moral issues - politics, from the pulpit. To this day, they feel they were the ones in the right.

Merry Christmas from a hospital in AZ. We are making the most of things. The staff were extremely grateful for the Christmas treats we brought, and we are extremely grateful for them. It's certainly not the Christmas we planned, but there are many blessings to count. So we will.

I have rarely been so grateful to be so tired. In an unexpected and wonderful turn of events Dad was discharged tonight. It was so much work getting him ready and getting the house situated for his needs. I'm in a lot of pain, and I'm so tired. But I am endlessly grateful.

Thank you, everyone. Your prayers have been felt. After 3 days of intense confusion and inability to speak Dad has made a miraculous turn for the better. Articulate, coherent, showing off his Spanish, cracking jokes. We're praying for consistency & a return of his strength now.

When I was young my Dad gave me some advice that has helped my marriage immensely. He said that I should support my husband in finding a job where he can be happy. There's a long story behind that. But I took the advice and have never regretted it. Happy spouse, happy house.

I am deeply sorry for the Veikoso family for the loss of their beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin. They are in my prayers along with his Cougar and Sun Devil loved ones.
