One thing I learned from a customer interview: Google ads are a protection racket. Businesses have to buy their own brand names for competitors’ ads not to show above them in search results. It’s one of small businesses’ biggest frustrations with Google.

Google self-preferences its own products. All the big tech giants do. This reduces competition, makes the playing field unfair for startups
Consumers lose because of lack of choice

Super insightful thread about spam ruining search results quality. SEO hacking works because the most keyword stuffed articles make it into the top results, not the most relevant or high quality. This is at the heart of what we’re trying to fix 🎯
A recent small medical issue has highlighted how much someone needs to disrupt Google Search. Google is no longer producing high quality search results in a significant number of important categories.
