It is so infuriatingly hypocritical to retire, then rubber stamp opportunities for males to take spots on her team. She can virtue-signal and never be harmed by an unfair playing field. She got reamed by 16-year-old boys, so her spot could have been in jeopardy.

There are two options: deny AMAB people from competing against AFAB or just do away with women’s sports. I think anyone should be embraced as anything they wish to be as long as it doesn’t infringe on another’s rights. Why do we even have a women’s category in sports?

What is the purpose of having a women’s category at all? Women’s categories in all sports began to protect inclusion of females in sport, otherwise they would have no place. Perhaps darts should be only open now, but the same cannot be said for track, football, swimming, etc.

I’m tired of the argument that playing sports is a right. It is never a right to play in any designation you wish. I would love to train and play in the NFL. As a small, middle-aged woman, I have no right to do that, nor does an NFL player have the right to play 16U football.

Not to mention that IOC levels of testosterone required by males to compete in women’s sports are 10 times the naturally occurring level in most females. Females would have to dope with T just to reach the level. And there are many other biological advantages.

35 total trans people and the trans women were higher body fat than same-height men means the self-selected trans group was unathletic to begin with. Unless you take a group of similar athletes and transition half of them with hormones, studies like this are severely flawed.

I’m sure you’ve seen all the arguments. The one I see most often is there just aren’t enough trans women in sports for anyone to care. But setting policy before there are conflicts is more fair for everyone. If my house is the only one robbed in my town, am I not allowed to care?

These are young girls. They can and have been banned from competing. They have a right to opportunities and scholarships. Even if the boy beats them, they can still record a scholarship time. The adults in charge need to protest and take responsibility.

Terrible take. Dom initiated all contact with Dre and Dre was pointing, there was no swing. Dom is supposed to protect players from fans, he cannot get involved with scrums on the field and should be permanently banned from the sidelines.

Pros don’t *poof* magically appear at the pro level. I watch girls in my area get scouted at 12 years old. If you take opportunities away at HS level, the college and pro levels don’t exist.
