Alys rivers doesn't need to reitterate Aemond's death for her to be a useful character. From what we’ve seen, Alys would absolutely adore healing everything that Aemond is. Alys in every scenarios will be helping him, LOVING him, and that's the unchangeable fate.

Aemond believes he will really win and that's why he ends up fighting Daemon, but it can also because he knows it's the only way he can end this war, sacrificing his own life. Alys didn't influence him to do so, but rather avoiding him to fight, pulling him away from harrenhal.
