@AJgoandmultiply @DeAngelisCorey @KingForTexas @GregAbbott_TX @GovAbbott Trust that America's made up our mind about school choice.

@DaveBondyTV And properly. The evidence is pretty clear the Biden's were willing to trade influence for cash which makes it reasonable to wonder what else they traded for cash.

@Miss_Snuffy Nope, not madness. An appreciation, if concealed, that the purpose of government education is to provide a rationale to pay government employees. Whether education occurs is largely unimportant as demonstrated by the lousy results.

@RubinReport Nope. "Retarded" may be the thrilling word du jour, demonstrating emphatically the rejection of lefty language censorship, but it's a lousy explanation.

@downi75 We have a representative form of government so it's unrealistic to expect we won't send a representative group of dipshits to Lansing or Washington D.C.

@ballply2022 @DeAngelisCorey In politics any bill that's a bill in name only is a rear guard action. Even an "in name only" bill wouldn't have seen the light of day if the pressure weren't so great that passing a phony bill's the only hope to prevent the real deal from being passed.

@RealTonyEdwards @DeAngelisCorey I don't. Organized labor is a criminal enterprise that's managed to convince the public that their brand of extortion is just fine. The only justification for teacher's unions is that public education barely tolerates teachers and there's a bit of counterbalance in unions.

@downi75 But proper and for more reasons than that he was incompetent, indifferent, corrupt, lazy and stupid... No, I've changed my mind. Any of those were a good reason for a swift and brutal end to Biden's legacy.

@FriedrichHayek @DeAngelisCorey Because, from the point of view of people like Superintendent Brown, that's the point of public education. Whether the kids learn anything comes a long way second which is why they learn so little.

@iowahawkblog It's a tough call. There's also the US Department of Three Flush Toilets begging to be consigned to the history books.

@BjornLomborg Yeah well, we're better off then Denmark but that's nothing to be proud of. Like every other wealthy nation we've squandered vast sums on this nonsense. Fortunately, the national self-indulgence seems to be winding down.

@walterkirn Not if it's via the government. As in public education government funding attracts mercenaries who figure how to cut themselves a fat slice before any of the funding's wasted on the intended recipients.

@downi75 Now that the electric car fad is dying down, other then the autonomous ones, I'm glad SpaceX is, you should pardon the expression, taking off.

@DeAngelisCorey I don't know. I've become a fan of kabuki theater and this was an excellent example of the form. The actors delivered their lines with a good approximation of sincerity and passion while the security actor provided a solid wall for their thrown marshmallows to bounce off of.

@Econl148 @matthewnielsen And public education is accountable to the voters of the school district. That's why 4% of Detroit's 8th graders are reading proficient. Because that's what Detroiters want.
