We used to have an electric railway that connected Toronto, Mississauga City Centre, and Guelph. But we ripped it up and built over most of the right-of-way.
Our museum was built on part of the right-of-way for the Toronto Suburban Railway's Guelph Line. Around 1925 a special charter was held on this radial railway. This photo, from the collection of Robert Sandusky, shows the special train on the large curve next to Etobicoke Creek.

Canada is a natural resource nation, but we seem to have forgotten that. We need more pipelines to tidewater ASAP.
Natural Resources Minister Jonathan Wilkinson said Thursday the country should weigh building a new west-east oil pipeline after President Donald Trump's threatened tariffs exposed what he's calling a "vulnerability" in energy infrastructure.
