Our museum was built on part of the right-of-way for the Toronto Suburban Railway's Guelph Line. Around 1925 a special charter was held on this radial railway. This photo, from the collection of Robert Sandusky, shows the special train on the large curve next to Etobicoke Creek.

Toronto once had radial railways, which were "streetcar" lines that radiated outwards. One of them went all the way to Lake Simcoe! Here's Yonge Street just north of Richmond Hill at what is now Muirhead Crescent on February 15th, 1923.

It's New Years Eve, and we want to thank everyone who came out to support our museum in 2024! Old streetcars like PCC #4611 take a lot of work from volunteers to stay running. It was built in 1951 and continues to operate at the age of 73 years old! See you all in May of 2025!

London Street Railway (LSR) streetcar #23 was built in 1901 and retired from service in 1935. It was then used as a change room in Wonderland Park in London, Ontario, for years. Our museum acquired the old streetcar on November 19th, 1983 and it was eventually restored.
