We are still building out our global HFDL ACARS network of stations. We are also working on a 'back command' channel to remotely tune each station to follow the propagation. Also we know that

We have builds of ReceiverOS for RPi3, RPi4, RockPi4, x86, x64, and many other SBCs working.
It’s based on Armbian (which itself is based on very slim custom Ubuntu). Packages built for many radio related libraries and CLI-based apps.

We are as ready as we can be....
Las Vegas residents’ tolerance for noise might be tested for the next 11 days. The Air Force's Red Flag 24-1 exercise will occur Jan. 15 - Jan. 26.
Nearly 100 aircraft are scheduled to depart Nellis twice a day and could remain in the air for 5 hours:

I've never seen 3 E-4B Nightwatch up at the same time.
73-1677, Gordo-14. Crew flight, just finished tanker evolutions.
73-1676, RTB Offutt from Andrews.
74-0787. Following 1676 flight path. I haven't seen that either. May return to WPAFB or go to Offutt. Jury is still out.

Getting some questions about the new RTLSDR V4 dongle and ACARS.
Looking at the graphs on the linked page, the sensitivity looks to be down on the V3, but the driver issue (and very limited run of hardware) is the big unknown for our use case.

United Airlines have said that inspections of their Boeing 737 Max 9 aircraft have been found to have loose bolts around the door plug.
United have canceled around 200 flights as a result.
Going to be a rough travel experience for a little while yet.

Creeping close to some efforts out there. Active airframes w/ flights over last 24 hours.
Dips in the graph & this is due to a 5-minute timeout for flights when determined as not in the air. Wider coverage would resolve this.
I suggest we expand coverage to capture more.
