As a current M3, I can attest that I know quite a few in my cohort who deferred Step1. The fear of failure is real and is becoming a noose around a lot of bright individual’s necks.
That and the possible threat of a delayed graduation leave students in a serious bind

So many women are going to die.
Not in childbirth.
Not in back alley abortions.

506 isn’t a terrible score. I’ve known a decent amount of people who got in w/ that score.

This is my dear friend, Nakita.
Nakita and I were medical school classmates and both interns in New York City. Nakita tragically took her own life on May 26.
She is such a beautiful soul. She was so fun to be around. She was intelligent, charismatic, and confident. (1/x)
