@danyzstarlight
Bc it's concept art. That's why everyone says they prefer the animation to the live action bc they don't translate in a linear manner. Real life has creases and is actually under the pressures of so many conditions. And the final product is soo sick what are you even talking abt
@fkadaenerys
No
S2 ended with everyone ready for war.
The process of readying for war mentally, physically and resourcefully is something that movie culture has erased from the reality of the issue in the mind of viewers. It's not the MCU, they don't just put on their capes and fly to war.
@alicentstjames
Just they didn't cause laenas death and actually attended her funeral. Though it was still disrespectful, there's no analogy here, alicent is an hypocrite.
@ayyyooo0305
Like can we stop saying that nonsense 😭. Rhaenyras children were made through love and it was the 17 yr old girl and grown ass harwin. She literally bed harwins bc laenor couldn't get it done. She did it bc she was forced to cement her claim to the throne cus she had 3 brothers
@Eddard_Blckfyre
Fire and blood is their houses words. It's the legacy of Valyria. Danaerys used it bcuz she probably heard it from viserys talking about the conquest and how they would win back westeros. it's not her line, neither does it mean Aegon is in the right
@witchyhagz
Hotd Reddit is even worse, any mention of rhaenyra and they start to mention her weight. It's very funny when you realize she gained weight from her pregnancies but they forget the one who was described as a glutton. Yes book aegon was fat
@alicenting
It's not just Abt that night. It's Abt everything that brought them to where they are now. Her broken motherhood, wedding her and Aegon, her futile attempts at protecting her children that she beats herself up over.....and much more
@theblacks_
This is such good writing honestly. If rhaenys feels a sort of guilt for Luke's death by sparing the greens, it makes more reason that she faced vaghars and sunfyre knowing she might probably lose.
@wingedseph
They're getting 8 episodes and you want them to cram jacegan in, which adds no significance to the story whatsoever, just so you can say it's bad.
@belovedlecter
This little argument was so sweet bc they didn't even use big sophisticated words and just plainly insulted each other. Just both of them calling each other bitch😭
@alicentenchains
Say you know nothing of court manners without saying you know nothing of court manners. And why would rhaenyra be calling her your grace in the Sept 🤦
This fandom 😮💨
@daisyinthehaze
But honestly, every time he was referred, rhaenyra was always the centre of the conversation. Even when Stannis called her usurper, he didn't even mention who she usurped exactly, just the fact that he believes she was daring enough to usurp.
@targrealness
They actually did baela bad this season if we're honest though. She almost became an original character when they made her defy rhaenyras orders a bit, and they called it a day lmaoo
@VILL4NEVE
Stop calling rhaenyras relationship with harwin loving. She was forced to settle and have children too. When he died she didn't even bother, she had NO loving relationship w him.
I'm not saying alicent didn't have it hard, but let's stop making it as if rhaenyra had it all roses
@hanneninas
I rlly am not a supporter of HBO making it about aemond. In the books it was clearly Abt one of aegons sons. Daemon clearly would have a warped sense of vengeance. He wanted to prick at the greens just as they had pricked at rhaenyras weakness, that was his idea of justice.
@highgardenart
Not just that. Even her being on the throne just went unchallenged by the realm. A woman reigning as queen. Like everything just pans out for her and Jon Snow, the show lost me at the obvious favoritism. Like no, nobody says anything
@Nymphexia
This is so funny bcuz rhaenyra did isolate viserys and turned on him as well as alicent considering we had seen her just prior assuring viserys about how she knew he was to fulfill her duty.
@rhaenicentyuri
Like they ignore everything Abt book rhaenyra actually except the girlboss incestuous part. Like she was also a woman in a male dominated world
@patroklov
You have not been watching this movie. Baela and rhaena's positions have not been passed over bc they were never declared to have one to begin with, that's only in the minds of the viewers. And I firmly believe jace is gonna have his arc.
Everybody criticizing the leaked season but nobody praising that crazy beautiful phenomenal shot we got of alicent bracing the sunrise. I gasped.
I hate so much that this fandom is so negative and there's nobody to appreciate the artistic wins with.
@fkadaenerys
S2 ends with everyone knowing their motivations and expectations of the war. The purpose, horrors, fears and end goals. S2 places each individual at different positions ready for a face off.
@VidhyaS07999749
Even without daemon, Aegon would be a fool to attack dragonstone. The castle was made as a last safe hold and designed to especially resist the one type of attack that can fall it, Dragonfire. Plus upsetting the dragonmont is like begging for it lol
@banditsecrets
I've also said this, viewers are just looking past it. She's manipulative and very protective of her own, and under the weight of it all, she's losing her grasp on it. However justified she may be, she is becoming more empathetically lose than the rhaenyra we saw b4
@aemondfilms
Luke just remembered the joke and laughed Abt it. That's how teens behave, it wasn't malicious, Aemond was only seeking excuses to justify his anger.
@swanfoam
Like, what did bro expect to happen. Chase him to dragonstone and then what. And the dumbest part of all, how did he expect to get Luke's eye on dragonback, cus like was he even thinking.
@fkadaenerys
I honestly don't see any connection between rhae and Dany. They were both very different people, lived under different circumstances and brought up with different ideologies and had entirely different personalities.
@magnetonlyfans
Not even a little. What do you mean I'm to send you 15000 swords and you're handing me kittens. Are u for real, that's enough reason for me to declare for aegon cus wtf
Bfr, nobody, and I repeat, nobody ever served this hard, this high in the sky, with one eye atop a dragon right after jumping his aunt and her dragon. No, fuckin one. I can't be more glad that Ewan Mitchell is aemond.
Y'all are so funny, alicent does want her son to be king. She has been grasping at it since ep6. But her character is one of religious devotion, she seeks moral justification for her actions, that's what viserys intentions are Abt.
@eilharted
I'm convinced that most of the people in this fandom do not understand anything the showrunners are trying to portray, they just want something that aligns w their headcanon
@cristonified
@AloreScott
Dyana literally represents all of his victims 🤦. It's not rocket science, god.
You know what, I'll do you one better, only Joffrey is rhaenyras child cus we saw the delivery, like the rest are adopted. Yk
@westerosies
The line hits hard. I'm sorry but I watched this scene the first time and I was confused but then I watched it again and oh my God, it is the best scene yet since season 1. Blood and cheese delivered so well and helaena sealed it. Where were the guards tho
@taylicent
What I will keep on saying is Milly alcock could never have embodied older rhaenyra. She could have perfectly played the bold stubborn princess but never the older one.
@his_valyrian
No cus I've read the book. Almond still becomes regent, maelor dies at the hands of a mob w see Rickard. Daeron attacks tumbleton for it.....
@moonlitnyra
That's because Milly's characterization of young rhaenyra falls into the stereotypical category of a female princess, Emma's older rhaenyra does not, from her parenthood, her position and her ambition. If milly played older rhaenyra, they'd still draw it this way
@ladydragonjj
When you connect this scene with b&c, it makes a lot more sense. Her faltering no, her pointing, trying to stay composed and rushing to grab helaena
@DaeronTargtower
This is alicent. This is why she did not know of the schemings of the small council. She is bound by d principles of religion and cannot justify doing anything out of it. Dat's why she felt bad 4 following her motherly instinct in the scene she cut rhaenyra, bc that was not moral
@illusorycastle
It's more interesting when you realize that they'll be together in the end the sacrificed lamb and the queen mother, and the only thing they'll have in common would be resentment
@nlghtfyre
They actually did not eat. Hotd actually criticizes actions that should be criticized. Ned and Robb were raised and bred for wars of honor, rhaenyra and alicent are both mothers. Their repetition of thousands will die is only a reflection of their own children's fate
@his_valyrian
Nobles make public appearances in their houses colors. Their seamstresses buy robes and silks of their houses colors.
Green was made to be hightowers color in the show, it's not that deep, plus Criston is not wearing green
@livcookeist
Her slay cannot be put into words. She really was made for that world, such an interesting character, you could just be at peace whenever she came onscreen.
@amoratearte
@kingslayier
Viserys married aemma at 11. Their consummation was not mentioned, but she had rhae at 15 and already had a stillborn son and some miscarriages before that. He was 16 when they married
@viserionfyre
Sometimes I wonder how it is always so accurate. Like the time and effort to curate that info on every character, race, myth and time period must be insane.
@ASFUCKEH
@ann1pjo
Honestly haven't watched this show of his, but generally speaking, shows are tailored to attract views, and a historically racist character might have been cleansed script-wise and their racism may not be apparent to the actor. Just saying that I don't think this is enough.
@Menzy1618
@witchyhagz
The maesters were pro green and supported aegon's cause, ofc they wouldn't call him fat. He looked like viserys, viserys was fat, and add gluttony to that. Regular knights didn't look like this. Even rhaenyras official art does not look fat lol
@Joan0fArcc
Imo, him killing jahaerys instead of argon makes a lot more sense now. He wants aegon to feel what rhaenyra feels. In the books, he wants to force him to act.
