The process of readying for war mentally, physically and resourcefully is something that movie culture has erased from the reality of the issue in the mind of viewers. It's not the MCU, they don't just put on their capes and fly to war.

Honestly haven't watched this show of his, but generally speaking, shows are tailored to attract views, and a historically racist character might have been cleansed script-wise and their racism may not be apparent to the actor. Just saying that I don't think this is enough.
