Built a small prototype using
#GPT3
- every app working with text should make language styling as accessible as text formatting.
This improves accessibility for non-native speakers like myself, and allows to focus on the content while generating auxiliary data like subject etc.
At this point all my side project will get automatic icons generated by
#midjourney
Special shout out to the the icon of a cake with a cake and a cherry on top
I felt like there’s a gap in iOS community: most of the conversations are around the code, but not enough around software architecture.
I am starting a series of videos where I’ll be interviewing folks behind iOS apps to learn how are they built. Your feedback is appreciated!
To optimise table view perf we pass scrolling information from UIKit down to processor controller using historical data of your app - no applause 🤔
This is no memoji, but come on!
Look what I found!
Building a SwiftUI wrapper for UIDatePicker
UIDatePicker.Mode(rawValue: 0x00000000000010ad) makes it into a month / year picker. Technically not a private API 😛
It's my dad's 65th birthday this year, I plotted some of the places significant for our family as a gift

Built a prototype for Xcode → Import → Design. Feels great to start with a code getting you 70% there with functional UI and clean code.
Just like GitHub Copilot you can imagine how this can take in account your existing components etc. Coming to Xcode near you in 2031.
behind all the criticism I forget to praise things I like 😳 Like these gorgeous large animations when plugging in the phone or connecting wireless headphones
I am in love with
#GPT3
, it has a potential to transform what we expect from software. Supercharged an email client from the previous demo:
• Show a summary instead of the first line of the email
• Show actionable emails, not just the unread ones
• Extract action item links…

As always your constructive feedback is welcome!
No one wants to rebuild the entire keyboard, everyone wants to rebuild a suggestion bar. We need a separate keyboard suggestion API.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk
This garbage has been happening for the last several iterations of iOS. I already reset the dictionary. It became a running joke with my friends.
Remove algorithmic autocorrect!
Bring back chronological autocorrect!
Here are the first images taken by

Now weeks and months of hard work are now starting for scientists and technicians involved in this mission, so stay tuned because we will have a lot to tell!
The software to create the black hole in the movie 'Interstellar' is a full implementation of Einstein's equations in 40,000 lines of C++, and rendered thousands of 23-megapixel IMAX frames on a 32,000-core render farm at about 20 core-hours per frame
My 2 favorite settings that make working with macOS way more effortless:
* enable tap to click via Trackpad
* enable three fingers drag via Accessibility
After a few poor attempts at
#creativeCoding
in swift (wrapping
#p5js
web view, bridging
#openFrameworks
etc), started p5swift from scratch, first CoreGraphics renderer, then will add a Metal renderer. Nothing too fancy yet. To test replicated

I started a new blog posts series "let's build X", where "X" is one of the macOS apps I use daily, and "let's build" is both APIs and architecture 🤓
Let's build Amphetamine - app preventing mac from sleep
Feedback is welcome! 🙇
It would be great to stop re-implementing image editing and be able to use system editor like in this demo (using private API; ignore simulator artifact on image preview)
Can we have all the tab-based tools like IDE, browsers, note-taking tools etc to adopt
@code
model? Feels like a good mix of flexible and powerful. Here’s hoping Xcode is taking notes
