My wife and I got talk to Pete one on one for quite awhile back in March of ‘18 in Vegas. He asked where we were from and when we said Van Wert, Oh. his eyes lit up. Pete was going to be in VW at the NPAC that Fall. He literally gave me his cell phone to show me his calendar.

Beautiful day for tile! Heard today from 2 different people that our local contractors are 2-3 years out on installs. Made me pretty thankful Prof. Brown sparked my interest in this endeavor back in 2009-2010 at Ohio State. We don’t set speed records, but we do a damn good job.

Man…what is going on with these forecasts? Put rain chances in, start backing the chances off, by noon the rain chance for that day has been slowly taken out, add a 50% chance for rain or greater in for the next day. Don’t mention a flash drought.

Goal this fall. Deere 2660VT touches every corn stalk at least once. Once you’ve experienced it, no till beans seem like such a pain in the ass. Yield may not be all that different, but my anxiety levels will be lower.

The corn on this truck is my corn. I plant, care for, harvest, and store it on my farm. I maintain a sterile environment around my grain storage facility to ensure that insects and rodents don’t have a place to reside. Malathion isn’t even necessary on my farm. Enjoy the weekend!
