I saw a few similar critiques against Ripple over the last few days, and I genuinely don't understand this line of reasoning. XRPL has been live in production 3 years longer than Ethereum, and introduced many innovations. Now XRPL is being augmented with multiple battle-tested.
Ripple likes to take well-established concepts, repackage them, and present them as a whole new thing. An AMM DEX where the gas token is used for liquidity, an EVM sidechain, private forked chain instances, a USD-pegged stablecoin. This isn’t 2017 anymore… these aren’t.

The tech is great! Cosmos SDK will remain relevant for a long time, because a critical mass of strong + well-funded projects are built on it: @axelar, @osmosiszone, @berachain, @noble_xyz, @CelestiaOrg, @dYdX etc. But Cosmos/IBC have long lost the interoperability narrative.

It’s always sad to see such cases. Many people dream of building something valuable, then realize they can cut small corners. It starts small, but once one starts taking shortcuts it’s hard to stop. This applies to everything in life. Almost everyone starts with good intentions,.
I knew her at Wharton (she was either my year or +/- 1). She had a great aura, was a kind person and clearly started off building something valuable. Sad to see it all turn out this way.

Every month it feels like a new ecosystem is dominating, but long term all those chains will do great. And interoperability will make the multichain usable.
Seeing Solana struggle to defend its narrative against .-hyper liquid(faster, nicer to use).-base ( as fast, but better ramping and access to liquidity ). Is interesting. Solana does have a story. But it may need to be more than just “fast”.
