Gotta, disagree. We love immigrants. And we want them to come and find a better life. But that means they have to actually be able to do that. Can’t do that without proper funding. Proper funding doesn’t happen without proper counts. Proper funding doesn’t happen when it takes so long to even process the paperwork. Redundancy is strangling altruism.
Elon, I agree with you probably 90% of the time, but this is way off from what the American people want. The only people who want this are tech companies and immigrants wanting to come here. The United States has a tremendous amount of untapped human capital that needs to be fostered and utilized. Foreign workers are flooded into the United States because it's easier to pay them less than to create a much better STEM environment for American youth. We need to work on expanding our domestic STEM programs and use what we already have. We don't need more immigration, we need less, from literally anywhere. Green card legal immigrants are a much bigger threat to current American culture than illegals from central America. The illegals are essentially stuck in a permanent lower caste, the legal ones rise higher and engage in corporate nepotism, entirely restructuring the American power hierarchy. You're in a unique position being a wildly successful immigrant yourself, but we aren't importing millions of you. We're importing millions of mid level workers that will just replace Americans in the field. I can't think of a single person in middle America who is thinking, "we need more foreign workers" from literally anywhere. Want to fix the perceived problems? Start a scholarship/mentor program for American talent in Engineering/computer sciences. You may already have one. We need to finely tune the talent we have, not flood the market, and replace them.

@DaveEDanna Entire generations raised without proper food, health and mental education coupled with an entire industry built to sell you crap. Yah. I have my own issues with food. Mostly it’s been a stimulation outlet Topped 270lbs before realizing it.

Not that this is the only goal, but it’s one of them. lol. I don’t wanna be in an old folks home. I want to travel from state to state staying with the kids and grandkids in rotation, until I can’t anymore. And then I want a small cabin in the mountains. ❤️
My parents made a lot of time for me when I was growing up. So I make a lot of time for them now that I am grown up.
