Anti-Zionism is directly related to Anti-Semitism.
Jewish high schools in Toronto shouldn’t have bomb threats.
Jews shouldn’t have to hide their Jewishness out of fear of being hurt or killed.
If you are mad at the Israeli government, take it out on them. Not regular people.
@alsoabouteve
I’ll be honest, if her saying that Jews run space lasers in the sky wasn’t enough of an excuse for people not to discredit her, I don’t think Dylan (or any trans person) suing is gonna get her out.

“We know we have a problem, but we’re too rich to actually care about it”
It’s like those rich people who park in disabled parking spots, saying “The fine is just how much you pay to park closer”
@fellowfunster
It’s like those guys in “It’s Everyday Bro”. Everyone else was singing about their money and how sexy they were, while they two guys who sung in Spanish sang about getting their VISA, and how grateful they are to be supporting their family.
@felie__
@jackhlawson
Also, while Israel may not have gay marriage legalized, if you get gay married outside of Israel, and come back, you will get all the same treatments as a straight couple.
@felie__
@jackhlawson
Why is marriage acceptance the ultimate acceptance? Shouldn’t we also look at acceptance of LGBT+ people in general?
According to this study, Israel ranks 44th, above many other countries in ESC including Poland, Latvia, Armenia, and Greece.
@Dragracecentra
The fact that Pythia literally could’ve been on any other season and had the best runway package, but she was out on the season with Icesis. Like dare I say, Pythia and Icesis are the best designers on Canada’s Drag Race ever.
@ESCLegs
Dons is the epitome of someone who has been trying to get to Eurovision for nearly 15 years at this point, and he finally gets it, and he’s not going to let any of his moment go to waste.
@wisterialain
@btdqvideos
Apparently there wasn’t an official one, so the cast did it themselves, and then they got a cease and desist letter from WOW.
@MattESCunited
I feel like if the EBU doesn’t come clean and become more transparent, there’s going to be a lot of boycotting, but I don’t think there will be any withdrawal. More like what happened in 2019.
They still haven’t publicly mentioned the stage malfunction, so there’s that.
@Jeopardy
This kind of relates to the palindrome category, since they’re the only palindromic band (ABBA) to have a palindromic song title (SOS) in a palindromic genre of music (POP).
@Irunnia_
@PopCrave
Exactly, plus, she’s a surf instructor. It’s like if someone asked Jonah Hill to not talk about the movies he’s in, or asked Jimmy Fallon to not talk about his talk show.
@EurovisionTom
I’m expecting a “history of Eurovision” as something part of the show.
And I RELALY hope Céline can do it, and if not, they play up the fact that Céline can’t do it, almost like they did with ABBA this year.
@dragrace_stats
So far, all O queens have finished 5th: Ongina and Olivia Lux
This week, when there were only 5 queens left, Organzza started to struggle.
Is it a curse?
@wiwibloggs
TVR’s treatment to Theodor. When his and Roxen’s contracts are up, TVR better pray that they don’t go bankrupt.
Malta getting their worst result.
#Eurovision2024
Two things I noticed:
1) Despite it being the most politically charged contest in a while, we are going to the place that is historically quite neutral.
2) Everyone is saying that “This is the death of Eurovision” and suddenly we’re back where it all started.
“If Israel goes to Eurovision, there will be more attacks”
And why the fuck is that? There is no reason to believe that the Israeli delegation will cause trouble in Malmö.
Why can’t you just say that Pro-Palestinian extremists are the problem? Why is the blame on the Israelis?
@mascarayde
They FINALLY had a Eurovision song on a VStheWorld with two queens who’d actually know it.
Also, while I haven’t seen spoilers (so please don’t tell me), Tia must’ve been FEELING this as a Eurofan.
@yaalbanias
They’ve only sent it 4 times in the new millennium, and 2/4 of them got in the top 10. If you’re gonna complain about Finland, then I better see you say the same thing when Sweden/Malta/Cyprus/Australia send another pop song.
@ka_morian0121
La Kahena would’ve won the lip sync had she not had her back to the judges for so long during the bridge, cause she really gave the emotion that the song had.
Also I really thought that it would’ve been a double save for first episode, especially after Charlotte’s comments.
@Saliama_Kina
What’s with the two French inspired franchises having the best twists for regular seasons? We have the Golden Beaver on Canada, and now the Pink Telephone on France.
Really Early Prediction: Georgia is winning Junior Eurovision 2022!
1) Every time they’ve sent a Mariam, they’ve come 1st or 4th.
2) Every time the previous year was 4th, they came 1st.
@1Schoolhouse
YES! I told someone I had autism (because they had a kid with autism, so I thought that maybe they could help me with it), but instead they said that their kid does all these amazing things, while I’m a failure for not being able to tie my shoes, or handle my emotions.
@mascarayde
AS8 felt like they wanted to do separate fan fave (Jimbo, Heidi, Jessica, etc) and early out (Jaymes, Naysha, Kahanna, etc) seasons, but when they didn’t get enough queens for either, they just mashed them all up, and threw in Kandy to create drama.
Why have the last few months of
#jeopardy
contestants been so iconic? Like from Corey (
@pacdude
) to Heather (
@heather121b
) to Cindy (
@cindypeppe
) and even to the college kids (too many to tag), and who can forget Rhone (
@transitdiagram
). Thanks for making the game so special!
@Amplifythismic
@alittamakim
Yeah, and they are focused at Israelis and the Israeli delegation?
Or are they worried that a Pro-Palestine person will invade the stage, or worse?
@biminibabes
@NewfoundLadTO
Idea: You get on the show, and audition as “Bimini Bon Boulash”, but when you actually are on the show, you are “Bimani Man Boulad”, the drag king alter ego.
@aaadesign98
I think it’s because they a) want to make the distinction between country and broadcaster, because just because the EBU supports a broadcaster, doesn’t mean they support a country, and b) certain broadcasters (Romania) still are undecided.
@AlesiaMichelle
It’s an iffy translation. The word is translated as “spells” and “curses” from a witch. Not “curses” as in insults.
It’s something along the lines of “Here’s Ireland, who’s going to put some spells on you”, obviously said in a joking way, not at all in a mean way.
@Feresa_La_Tresa
@MartiGCummings
They’re the 6 members of the United States Supreme Court who voted against the laws that a) would forgive student loan debt, and (the bigger one people are talking about) b) the law that says you can not refuse service to an LGBT+ person.

Agatha Christie is definitely the highest when it comes to just books (she’s in fact only second to William Shakespeare), but with everything else combined, Britney’s higher.

My cousin worked on that show as one of the writers: Many of the experiences on that show were HEAVILY based in reality.
A thread of other political songs (about war) that no one seems to care about, with their English translations. If you’re gonna call out Ukraine, then let’s also call out:
@eurovisionbrent
You’re telling me, that out of these 4, VICKY is the oldest? And she’s still younger than that guy?
If you’re wondering:
Marie Myriam - 7304 days (20 years)
Anne Marie - 7624 (20)
Severine - 8210 (22)
Vicky - 8250 (22)
@GreenGayYT
This year has been the year of the seasons where the person won when they walked in through the door.
First Sasha, then Jimbo, and most recently, Keiona.
@internetfoxgirl
@mattxiv
I misunderstood your comment, I apologize.
I thought you were saying “Who else prefers the right? I know I do.” What you were saying is “Who in their right minds would chose the right side? That seems crazy”
My bad.
@yaalbanias
1) Russia and Belarus were banned due to political reasons
2) Hungary and Turkey hate any rainbows
3) Romania abuses their artists
The only countries who I want back are Bosnia+Herzegovina, North Macedonia, and Bulgaria. Everyone can stay out.
@MattESCunited
They said closed rehearsals. They should’ve had closed rehearsals. No press. No TikTok videos. Just between the artists and their delegations.
Closed means closed, not ajar.
@JeremyHonig
@sedderaside
They tried to do a First Out season, and a Fav Favourite season, but when not enough from either one wanted to comeback, they smashed them both together, hence why All Stars 8 was the way it was.
