Labour should take the fight to Corbyn now. Start the candidate selection process, force Corbyn’s hand on whether or not he will stand as an independent and if he does, expel him and anyone who endorses his candidacy. And get this over a year out from the likely election date.

Membership numbers are irrelevant. Less than 1% of the population belong to a political party - more people go to watch premiership football than have ever belonged to Labour, even if you include Corbyn’s 3 quid supporters.
