At this point I think of Bangalore consumer behaviour as a rather poor proxy for consumer behaviour across India. It’s too homogeneous at this point. Largely one industry (IT/Tech) leading to similar educational backgrounds & salary ranges.

I used to be under the assumption that the modern tech-led world was possible only because of capitalism
Until Chomsky pointed out how every modern technology is based on tech developed by US governmental agencies (US Army, DARPA etc.) which was subsidised (socialised) by US
It's funny that how any technological marvels have started as side projects of the US military.
Also any technological invention in the Netherlands almost always has something to do with Philips.

It's not about the money I used to go to a small cheap ass gym which was practically downstairs. Charged like 7 or 8 grand for the whole year.
90% of the dumbbells were re-racked, people were much more considerate even though it was a much smaller space.

I believe that people and companies are successful regardless of geography, not because of it.
I also believe that the network effects that the ‘Gen1’ and ‘Gen2’ startups benefited from, has weakened over time.
