Super Saiyan may be the most "iconic" transformation, but it's been outdone in terms of being interesting dozens of times in other franchises. Also almost every transformation in Dragon Ball is just a stat boost and it's really boring.

That assumes that being able to shoot a laser beam that destroys the moon means you yourself can tank a laser beam that can destroy the moon. A person can punch through a window but it doesn't mean they can take a punch of that power without being hurt.

I could know what One Piece and Naruto is generally about through casual mitosis. Never heard a peep about Bleach's plot or themes in twenty years. Literally all I know is some guy with a big sword named Ichigo is the main character.

One thing is, and I see this a lot of artists, while a commission discount is nice, it doesn't seem like you open them often. Makes one of the big benefits not so tantalizing. Worse with massively popular artists because slots will get scooped up super fast anyway.

Better pacing? We won't even be getting twenty more chapters, assuming Oda still takes off one week per month. Even if Toei does exactly one chapter per episode, they'd still be right back at the same episode/chapter distance as we are now before 2025 is over.

I dunno how hot this is, but I want less monsters created for the series and more taken from the past. Give us Space Godzilla, Gigan, and Destoroyah. We've really only gotten four aside from Kong and Godzilla over the course of multiple movies.

That's why I like actual feats more because powerscaling can spiral into arguments with characters casually throwing planet-shattering punches despite never actually being shown being that strong.

Unless I'm forgetting something, without powerscaling or feats mentioned (supposed universal shockwaves) I don't think we've seen Goku destroy anything larger than a mountain.

I'm sure I am. I don't enjoy the one chapter to one episode thing either, but if I had to pick that or constant filler arcs, I'd pick the slow pacing. At least almost all the episodes further the plot to some extent.
