To be fair, Liberia was settled of freed black folk who heavily assimilated and kind of sucked up to white people. It was basically just Israel for black people, complete with war crimes and racism. However, like most black institutions in the US, it wasn't well funded.

Liberia is not a settler colonial project, there were no genocides that took place in Liberia, there was no goal to replace the natives, and the native Liberians were treated as equal as the people that settled there.
