@SimuLiu @sighyam Anytime a celebrity gets called out all of sudden it’s “they’re being mean or hostile.” There was nothing mean about the post, you deleted it for a reason, i don’t think getting to know him should’ve changed the fact that he did what he did. Sad to see how fast folks switch up.

@TheDejaKing @K1ttySara her death felt so personal, I see myself in her and if she was a white woman those cops would not see light of day. it made me want yt people to understand the feminism y'all claim to be fighting so hard for, that RBG fought for was not for us. a Black WOMAN died & had no justice.

@heykelechi Very interesting how you’re deemed to be “jealous” or a “hater” when all you said was LS folks thrive in mediocrity but you didn’t lie… cause if we being real she just came out to the scene. What about the other darker skinned women whom have yet to receive a flower….

@nottydesignss Literally just looking into a camera and serving face. I would pay top dollar!! Black women are top 2 and not 2.

@Why_U_Here_ This is my favourite tweet when black men wanna talk about how black women don’t support them enough

listening to this podcast and hearing this woman say how her worst fear is losing her limbs, and when the guest asked her why, she said " I feel like I will be unlovable" and that was so wild to me cause it reminded me of what @DaShaunLH said "who are you outside of your body?".

@theofficialidi I realized i wasn’t attracted to him and was too embarrassed to be seen holding his hand. Honestly so humbling 😭.

@AsiaAtItAgain What makes this sad is that parents don't realize that they are placing unnecessary guilt on girls to feel ashamed for the way their body is.

@simsimmaaz She literally put a pause on her life just for this to be president and he couldn’t even win that legally 😂 my sister is tired.

@thecindynoir Honestly… I think part of it too is that I’ve noticed when I don’t mention my dating life as an update it somehow gets asked. Sometimes people don’t wanna hear a woman discuss herself cause it’s not as interesting as hearing about a good/bad date or relationship.

@Labssssss @Xhakaed Yeah forreal, especially when it comes to someone who attempted su**ide they start bringing up how God would be upset or you’ll end up in hell. It’s crazy forreal.

@selangelic This is really exposing me 😭 but it makes sense. Cause I feel like talking about my emotions when I’m sharing a story is over sharing and in my mind I’m like no one cares about hearing my emotions so lemme just share the interesting part which is the story. Wow that’s wild.

@SassyDNichelle @IamGMJohnson These books make people believe they can think their way out of poverty. telling poor people they should have a “millionaire mindset” that they will become rich makes people feel as though it is their fault they are poor instead of the fact we live in a racist capitalist society.

@JordanSumbu biracial folks really don't need to be the poster boy/girl for what is black. pushing for mixed folks to claim their partial blackness as their sole identity just aint it. accepting that there is a duality has been something black folks been trying to say. I'm glad ppl see now.

@AdamantxYves You’re absolutely right, it would be weird to compare her to them anyways cause the music they made was different and not really something you can compare. Their stardom was also way different, because of the times they made music.

@preciousbeyond Sis like i don’t understand why people don’t like warm cereal, for me I’m like do you eat oatmeal cold ? Obviously not but like cold milk with cereal just doesn’t slap.

@monarchcurl What makes me laugh is with all the money these celebs have they never consult licensed stylists like you or someone that specializes in biochem to curate their products… what a waste of money 😂.

@xxoorita The catch is my African friends that aren’t homophobic aren’t straight, you just gotta find the non-heterosexuals love.

@ThatNiggaAFool @critiquehf It’s not her hair that’s the issue, it’s that how is she lighter than everyone in the family, when instead it should be a dark skin girl.

@SNTLRNTSTNR And we gotta be honest it ain’t the colourism in the way… bbygirl just ain’t doing the work to be a serious actor and that’s ok.

@tolstoyreader Bless you for pointing this out! People really think just complementing their skin tone and nothing else is fine, like she’s beautiful! You’ll never catch anyone out here telling a white person “THAT skin”.

@ChantayyJayy It’s always these hoteps that try to blame black women when they are finally being held accountable, even when he was talking about building a school. like him and Dr.Umar forreal are the same people.

@MakotoRen_ @itsKARY_ I agree with you completely but personally i try not to place blame on African parents when they say “pray it away” since that’s the only way they have been told to cope with it, and mental illness hasn’t been appropriately discussed amongst black families.

@ShimminyKricket exactly! college is for learning. White women looking for a husband in college while Black women are focused on securing their bag for once they finish. Two very different priorities.

@Uhm_ClickFollow @kilIacourt Yeah we are saying the same thing, not biologically related but like he was her father figure at one point is what I’m getting at. But i understand what you mean.

@ShimminyKricket It’s really disturbing that only with black people we are blamed for the position we hold in society and not addressed with empathy. black folks in America strived and excelled even with the numerous obstacles, and yet still blamed for being “far behind” compared to oppressors.

this thread just shows how much of an impact our upbringing plays a role in how we engage in our relationships with others. i.e When love is withheld from us and made to be something we must earn versus growing up receiving love with no conditions or strings attached.
When getting in relationships, which are completely voluntary, do we not find it bizarre that at times people choose not to give their partners the things that make them feel loved and safe? -thread.

Anyone disagreeing with her hasn’t lived outside of the west or travelled or is just being delusional. The freedoms we have here are much more than women in the global south. For instance the financial freedom we have here, the ability to be independent and not rely on marriage.
One thing a lot of people don’t want to admit. Western society is actually the safest place in the world for women. & men hate it because wmn in the west are free to have choice. Unlike in other nations where poverty & oppressive systems force wmn to still be tied to males.
