Race IS a social construct. But it is also an extremely accurate proxy for breeding behavior. Even if the boundaries between races are fuzzy, the vast majority of people are the product of same race relationships for thousands of years.

I can understand NeverTrump in 16 or 20. I was 50-100% right there both times. I still think if Haley was the nominee, this would still be a landslide while Trump loses. But if you are voting for Democrats three elections (12 years) in a row, you are no longer a "conservative".

They should have had a bench trial where the judge lays out findings of fact and law on the record. That might have been easier to them on appeal in a situation like this. Between jury deference and harmless error, hard to see them winning any appeal here.

I'd add that the west didn't just experience the black Great Migration later, but also white migration. Western cities were all way smaller back then, they've all doubled and tripled in population soon. Most Eastern and Midwestern cities otoh have lower pops now than in the 60s.
