think when ppl say "not fun", i think they just mean the whole process around game not actual gameplay. it's not like previous iterations of the game where you can just jump in and play with no mods. this game requires more "work" and that's what ppl are getting burnt out on.

there was a good tumblr post about someone downloading a sim from a dump that was 1gb and like 50mb of the cc was actually on the sim. the rest was merged furniture (!), build buy crap, wicked whim tuning, and triplicate (files). y'alls mod folders are in SHAMBLES lmaoo
People who make sims dumps and merge all the cc together have a special place in hell waiting for them

ah one thing to do. i had the same issue, i took my entire sims 4 folder out. let the game generate a new TheSims4 folder, then copied my mods, saves and trays back into there. should work after that.

well yes but this is why ppl get mod folders with 800MB merge files called "chair.package" including skin details and ww tuning, and why your game throws bare last exceptions and won't boot. i don't mind links sometimes bc a lot of your mod folders are in shambles.
My unpopular taboo opinion: I hate cc lots. I’m not clicking on every website for hours just to only have 40% of it in my game somehow. That’s mad. Idc. Put it in one folder and just credit and tag every person ever that’s included within the lot ffs

ppl can just not use mods and play but most do not. when you get everything working to your liking/updated, it's fun but by the end, you're just annoyed and exhausted when another update comes and breaks all that. then you gotta go through the process of preparing again.
