The amount of hate NWS Offices get by online weather “enthusiasts” is disgusting. If you think you could do a better job than what they currently do, apply for the many open positions! It’s not as easy to issue a warning than you think it is, multiple factors are on the table.
Exciting news! I will be joining the KOCO5 weather team in Oklahoma City as an intern! Super excited to work alongside and learn from some of the best meteorologists in the number 1 weather market in the country!⛈🌪
NATIONAL NETWORK BOUND ❤️⚡️🏙️
Extremely honored to be joining the CNN team as the CNN Weather & Climate Intern for this summer! Thankful for the people constantly in my corner cheering me on and pushing me to be the best I can be! 🥰🐝
I’m heartbroken. The OU SoM is such a tight knit community and we are all hurting. I’ll never understand why certain things happen when they do. This does not feel real. Tell your friends how much you love them today and everyday ❤️
Last year I unfortunately didn’t get the grade I needed to in a class to move on in the meteorology program at OU. I had to wait until this fall to retake the course. Getting my final grade back and seeing I PASSED and can move on with this degree means I’m one step closer! 🫶🏻🩷
Prime time at The Palace on the Prairie!
@OU_Football
takes on Kent State tomorrow at 6pm. MUCH better conditions expected compared to last week in terms of heat. Cooler temperatures expected by halftime, football weather is here! 🏈☝🏼

Yesterday at the National Weather Festival two girls who were about 8 came up to me and said they recognized me from TikTok and wanted a picture. They used to be scared of storms but after watching my videos they fell in love with weather and now want to be meteorologists! 🥹💖
6 years ago today I stood outside the
@GMA
studios waiting to meet
@Ginger_Zee
to tell her how much I looked up to her and told her how I wanted to go to OU for meteorology. Fast forward I’m at OU, just finished my Broadcast Meteorology minor and an internship in OKC 💚
I’m constantly adapting to “new” ways information is shared. I started posting severe weather outlooks on tiktok 6 months ago and had NO idea it would turn into this. Weather communication is something I’m so passionate about and I’m excited to see what’s next 🩷
OU Texas Forecast!!!
PERFECT football weather tomorrow for the annual 11am kickoff vs. Texas at the Texas State Fair! Sooner Nation let’s be loud and bring that Sooner Magic! See you there!

@OU_Football
🏈❤️
KOCO you have my whole heart 💙
I cannot thank
@KOCOdamonlane
and the whole
@koconews
team for an amazing internship. Thank you for taking me under your wing this semester and teaching me all the ins and outs of Oklahoma severe weather.
Traded in the greenscreen for the anchor desk tonight with
@JadenKnowles2
. Don’t worry, your regularly scheduled programming of weather coverage will be back next week ;)
In May 2013 I saw
@Ginger_Zee
live from Moore and I knew I wanted to be just like her. Lots of years later, I’m at OU studying meteorology and she’s the best mentor I could’ve asked for. Severe weather continues for central Oklahoma today and she’s here tracking it all. ❤️
Strong wording from
@NWSSPC
about tomorrow.
@evan_bentley
, any idea the last time any state had two high risks in the span of a month? Let alone Oklahoma….
Hands down the best mentor I could ever ask for! 🥹 Soaking up every moment I can with the best of the best. Thank you for always being in my corner and helping me embrace every opportunity 💜❤️
@Ginger_Zee
@GMA
Honored to be the only student presenting at
#AMS50BC
this year and the FIRST student to present on behalf of the OU School of Meteorology.
If you’re passionate about something, make it known. Put yourself out there and make your younger self proud.

I’m happy to announce that I have accepted an Internship with KOCO News! I am extremely grateful for the opportunity and look forward to learning from some of the brightest minds in the field. Thank you all for the support and encouragement!

Excited to announce I will be joining the HailTrace Team in May as a Broadcast Meteorologist and Graphics Intern! I’m always up for expanding and forming new ways people receive weather alerts and weather data. Here’s to tackling this new challenge all summer! 💚🧊🌪️
“Was May an active month for severe weather?”
I think that’s an understatement. Every day in the month of May had AT LEAST a level 2 slight risk issued for some part of the continental U.S.
9 slight risks (2/5)
16 enhanced risks (3/5)
5 moderate risks (4/5)
1 high risk (5/5)
First taste of a severe weather day in the studio using video from a very active Wednesday we had in central Oklahoma. 16 confirmed tornadoes this week alone, and this was the start of what became an EF2 tornado.
Full circle moment. I grew up southeast of Houston on Galveston Bay. Ike 2008 was my weather “bug.” Never in a million years did I think I’d be an intern at a national network covering a hurricane impact my hometown 16 years later.
So long studio ❤️
I’ve been part of OU Nightly since 2020 and on air since 2021, however so many opportunities have come my way through AMS and TikTok, I’ve decided to devote my extracurricular time towards that along with my academics for the time being. Onto the next chapter…!
🚨‼️You heard it here first‼️🚨
OU Nightly is set to become the FIRST and ONLY student-run newscast to run LIVE for AN HOUR each Friday this semester! Catch us at 4 and 4:30 on Facebook, YouTube or Cox!
Can’t wait to make history with the largest weather team in the country!⚡️
Your Thursdays just got a whole light brighter ☀️
Super excited to be a Weather Anchor for OU Nightly this semester! Catch me every Thursday LIVE at 4:30!
There’s so many pros of going to school IN the National Weather Center but one of them definitely has to be walking in the building this morning and seeing the cast for the ‘Twister’ sequel walking around as filming begins
Back in Studio A on Fridays for
@ounightly
! Excited to serve as the Friday Weather Anchor once again! Catch us LIVE on Facebook and YouTube at 4:30 in a few weeks!

11 years ago I came home from middle school and saw
@abc13houston
showing
@koconews
coverage from Moore. I was already interested in weather, but that day pretty much sealed the deal. I also saw
@Ginger_Zee
and knew I wanted to be just like her. That weather spark still remains
In Myrtle Beach this week for
@AMSBroadcastcon
! I’m the Student Chair for the Broadcast Board this year, and I’ve LOVED being back around so many Meteorologists from all across the country!
#AMS51BC
Today I went down to the Sulphur and Ardmore area with
@NWSNorman
and
@ounwcm
and took part in damage surveys. The aftermath of last nights devastating storms is heartbreaking. Hearing stories and raw emotion of this reality setting in. Thinking of all the Oklahomans impacted 💔
Crazy that both of these are taken in Oklahoma just weeks apart.
A total eclipse, multiple tornado outbreaks, the northern lights… there truly is a reason why this is the place to be to study the atmosphere and I’m grateful I’m here everyday. There’s only one ☝🏼

New semester, same building ✨🌪️🌧️
Here’s to another semester learning from some of the best! I have a good feeling about this one and what’s in store this go round 😉
One year ago today,
@OUNightly
auditions. Nic was so excited to audition to become a weather briefer and he was a great asset to our weather team for the 2021-2022 school year. He was set to audition again this week in hopes of becoming a weather anchor.
#RIPOU3
Weather communication is extremely important and with what I’ve created on TikTok I’m able to communicate in new ways. Thank you AMS for having me speak today, our environment is changing but WE can help inform and educate those around us and those that turn to us.
@EricaGrowCei
I spent this past semester doing weather briefs for
@OUNightly
. I’ve enjoyed seeing myself grow each week and can’t wait to see what the future holds. Here’s a quick reel I made to show what I’ve done!
5 years ago today I stood outside the
@GMA
studios hoping I’d meet the person I idolize so much. So thankful for
@Ginger_Zee
and everything she has done over the years 💙
You go to school here to study these weather concepts but never think it’ll happen where you are. OnCue gas station on Highway 9 and Classen. Thinking of everyone impacted by last nights tornado in Norman

“It’s a bust”
It’s not over until it’s over. This has been said over and over as a NOCTURNAL EVENT. Do not let your guard down yet central Oklahoma, we have many many many hours left to go. Stay weather aware with multiple ways to get your information.

Do you know where your safe place is when severe weather strikes? Today is
#SafePlaceSelfie
day! Remember to get to the lowest interior level away from windows, go to a bathroom or closet, or a designated underground shelter like me!
The best boss ever. Never in a million years did I think I’d know Toby or his incredible family. Was not expecting to wake up to this today. Sending so much love to my Belmar family and his family 💔
Even in Oklahoma I still got my eye on the tropics 😉
Hurricane season starts June 1st and another above average season is expected. Now is the time to prepare and review your emergency plans.
5 months ago I started posting severe weather outlooks on tiktok in hopes people started understanding more about weather in their area.
Educating people about weather is something I’m very passionate about and there’s so much more to always learn! 🩷⛈️🌪️☀️
See you in Phoenix
@AMSBroadcastcon
! Excited for the opportunity to talk about
@ousom
&
@ounightly
& how their resources have helped me plan for a career after TV. Honored to be able to present in front of those who have inspired me & gotten me to this point.

I cannot stress enough HOW prepared central Oklahoma needs to be today. Significant tornado and hail threat possible from 4-10pm tonight here in the metro. Have your plan in place incase severe weather strikes and have MULTIPLE ways to get your weather information

SNOW IS ON THE WAY: Temperatures will dip down into the single digits and negative numbers the next few days as multiple bands come through the area.

made an appearance today!
Temperatures will be in the low 60s for the duration of the game tomorrow, see y’all at the palace!

Reached a huge milestone over on my TikTok, 150,000 followers! Crazy that a little idea of sharing severe weather information has turned into something like this. Impacting and informing just one person is amazing but THOUSANDS 🤯
