And if I’m not looking at my phone, I’m in my good place. to expect instant responses from others is to hope for them to not be fully absorbed in their own present. could any hope be less loving? what if we saw all our slow text convos as a win and stopped taking it so damn personally?

The best people don’t just say yes to everything. They help you connect the dots rather than erase them I see it happen all the time. Founder shares an early idea, and immediately someone starts listing all the reasons it won't work. Not because they've tried and failed, but because they've never tried at all. These people aren't protecting you from failure - they're protecting themselves from watching you succeed. Find the friends who light up at your crazy ideas, who add "what if we also..." instead of "but what about..." Good things happen.

We need to talk about smoke. Especially in California where wildfire season is now year round. Wildfire smoke is 10 times more toxic than other air pollutants.
