5. STUDENT ENGAGEMENT
For years, 90% or more of the student population have consistently failed to vote in student elections. Our Union should be aiming to represent 100% of students, not 10%. Ultimately, students will engage when they feel welcome and respected in their Union.

My first action would be to introduce a Code of Conduct for members of the Executive Committee and SU Council. Students reps need to understand that respect and care for others is paramount if the Union is to succeed. We need everybody to be included.
