new argument for the recommissioning of the iowas: chinese coast guard ramming games are suddenly less fun when the ship ramming you is 48,000 tonnes and traveling at flank speed
South China Sea: Chinese Coast Guard vessel "deliberately and intentionally" rammed the BRP Teresa Magbanua of Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) three times at Escoda Shoal.
Meet the M1 Abrams' game-changer: a 120mm smoothbore cannon!
Using advanced kinetic energy penetrators & high-explosive rounds, it delivers a devastating blow.
With pinpoint accuracy, crews can hit targets from over 2 miles away!

The year is 1918, tanks are useless in the face of barbed wire and anti-tank rifles.
The year is 1943, tanks are useless in the face of bazookas and anti-tank guns.
The year is 1973, tanks are obsolete in the face of ATGMs.
The year is 2024, tanks are obsolete. Again.

This is true, but heavily downplays the race of mole men from the Department of the Navy fighting hordes of Department of the Army elves in the tunnels under Maryland.

Few know this but the USS New Jersey could have stopped the impact they just didn't because it wouldn't be fair to the Eva engineers that the New York Navy Yard surpassed them in 1940 under treaty restrictions
Rough map of the Moscow air defense network - Blue pins are what appear to be or are certainly active sites, yellow is disused, pins are other sites of interest.
Inner ring is at 25km, outer ring is at 85km.
Almost all sites are of SA-1 herringbone layout, albiet modified.
To be honest I really like mobile air defense. And I’m going to complement a Soviet design for once. I really like the TOR systems. Also known as SA-15 Gauntlets. Having a single tracked vehicle with the ability to track a target and engage it is really cool.

Vietnam had one of the most advanced and modern AD systems in the world, partially operated by Soviet air defense troops, as well as MiG-21s.
The Typhoons were flying under the callsign "Saorsa". A friend of mine in the RAF sent me this photo of a Typhoon scrambling from RAF Coningsby. He says it was not an exercise, and the aircraft is armed. They don't know what's going on at the moment.
BREAKING: A Royal Air Force E-3D Sentry is squawking 7700.
A 3-ship formation of Typhoons from RAF Lossiemouth were spotted turning off their transponders with a direct bearing towards the aircraft 14 miles away seconds before.
Details to come. Something's happening.

Probably the only really meaningful German "wonder weapon" was the guided missile and it didn't have a meaningful affect on the war effort for them
