I highly recommend the USS New Jersey youtube channel. The scale is unnerving. There are over 1600 rooms, many places their own museum curator has never been. They stumble into forgotten storage caches like it's a floating megadungeon holding away some dark secret.

Helldivers is pretty unique among co-op shooters in that the player can routinely and organically ambush enemy formations, instead of being in a constant state of ambush themselves from a largely formless horde. It feels like a lively dance of formations across an open area.

I've flanked enemy lines to fire on them in enfilade, I've had my routes of retreat cut off by enemy airborne troops, I've masked my approach to an enemy base by the terrain. These will never be factors in, for example, Darktide. HD2 really feels like a pure military game.

I know this is an "ideas guy" thing but I sincerely believe there's massive untapped potential (and money) in a Mount & Blade or (especially) Kenshi-esque, Mad Max style true sandbox game with deep vehicle mechanics. If someone put the work in there wouldn't be anything like it.
