Things I hated about America as a European tourist:. -Everyone was nice to me. -Everyone had money. -The cheeseburgers were too big.
"How are you?" is thrown around too casually. As a German, I'm not used to exchanging pleasantries with strangers such as cashiers like that. It feels kind of fake to ask a question that no one really wants an honest answer to, but I guess it's part of American social norms.

@u_m_a_m_i The really messed up part is, it’s completely necessary to play the game this way. A few people need to suffer so your favourites can live a life of luxury.

@AlaSerSer @Bolverk15 Nah this rumour was around before Sseth made his Morrowind video. In the years after the game's release he has posted some insane shit, like this piece of art

@Bolverk15 It kinda shocks me that Better Call Saul delivered the same level of quality as Breaking Bad. When it was announced, I fully expected it to be kind of a sellout series capitalising on one of Breaking Bad’s more memeable characters.

@paez_taitaCh65 I don’t recall the Enclave being racist either. Unless you consider mutant freaks a race.

Working class people 60 years ago had higher verbal IQ than most people living in Britain and Ireland today.
#OnThisDay 1961: Panorama asked whether Irish immigrants should be freely admitted into Britain when Commonwealth citizens were being restricted.

@Nitroid There’s a big mystery surrounding that intro shot. Some claim that James is staring directly at the player and this can be seen by turning the brightness and gamma way up. Lots of people have tried to recreate it but it’s unclear whether it’s real or photoshop trickery

@funnygamedev It’s like a German fairytale in which Bethesda is a woodland goblin creature who promises unlimited free games, except all those games are the same game.

@siIIymonkey When I went to Greece they’d always round down their prices for some reason, so if something cost €3.50 they’d say “just give me €3” I don’t think they do that in France though.

@regimentle For just $1 you can pay for a Ukrainian schoolboy’s flag patch for when he gets drafted the moment he turns 13.

@KoshkaBaluga @UpdatingOnRome To be fair the White Cliffs are the first thing they saw and it left such an impression that they called it ‘white land’. It must have been so exciting to speculate on what kind of people and animals would dwell in such a place. But turns out it was all a bit mid after the cliffs

@uncle_deluge I just remembered a story I read this morning about a man who stabbed a woman to death on a beach in England, because he wanted to know what murder felt like. Not sure what made me think of that.

@EmblemSnake @orpheaskk How the hell did the upturned nose become a symbol of western beauty? Victorian physiognomy held the Aquiline nose as a marker of power, firmness and intelligence.
