@dieworkwear @DavidLaneDesign @urban_comp @Barima_ON Love your work Derek, but why always refer to @urban_comp as an electrician, when he's also director of a menswear mag, a photographer, and used to work in tech. Just feels a little disengenious, like he's just any ol' tradesman that happens to be into menswear.

Being uncomfortable in black tie is understandable, but bro, don’t project

@dieworkwear @urban_comp You don't really need to dress up for the opera outside of formal events (openings, fundraisers, etc.) unless you're cosplaying.

@jiaxing_z @dieworkwear @NoManWalksAlone What size are you? It’s usually ok to go a size or two bigger. I’ll DM you some options

@MsLingonberry @clauss @dieworkwear I've traveled with a fedora when I know it's going to rain, but you'll have to be comfortable with your hat getting misshapen while you sleep on long flights, and the puzzled stares because you're wearing a fedora inside an airplane

@commentator000 @ToddSnyderNY Good question. If off the rack fits you well, then by all means go for it. I have several from @RalphLauren I got from eBay

@StoicPhysician @ToddSnyderNY Cardigans are great for easy layering. Fuzzy mohair cardigans were common in the 60s, again in the 90s, and make an appearance every now & again

@alancornett @ToddSnyderNY That was my favorite of the show. Gorges are dropping but it’ll be a while before they’re 90s level ubiquity

@smallseyL Thanks, almost all my frames are from Jacques Marie Mage. I usually try them on first

@thetumblehome This was last seen in the 90s but was done before then too. If you want to look relaxed, this is much better than untucking your shirt

@navffit_ I would, because there are scant few opportunities better than one’s wedding to rock a bow tie

@navffit_ If it’s daytime, silk shantung in bright colors and cream are great. After sundown velvet in dark colors (black or jewel tones like emerald green, dark purple, navy) are better
