Moving ALL types of production to the US is impossible(scarcity of labor&production capacity and not enough specialization leads to inefficient manufacturing), inflation, and US exports will diminish.

Most tanneries are outside of the US, so a US based company has to pay 25% import tax on their raw materials. There isn’t enough domestic supply and manufacturing capacity to do EVERYTHING inside the US.

@aviflombaum @dieworkwear My first pair of raw denim was APC NS. 2009 or so. Wore it til the crotch blew, repaired it and wore some more. I’d say the fabric is v. nice, sourced in Japan afaik. Good color,very stiff at first but breaks in well. Alas the construction is average & fit too slim and low rise
