The last 12 years have broken the 1.5 degree Celsius global warming threshold. June 2024 is 1.64 degrees Celsius warmer than pre-industrial time. If we continue business as usual without any changes in our (read China, USA & EU) emissions of GHG we’ll see more of these images.
Fifteen years minus one day between these photos. Taken at the Rhone glacier in Switzerland today. Not gonna lie, it made me cry.
