Exactly. As a former USBP 1896 & HSI 1811 who did 2 TDYs as a Firearms Instructor at FLETC, I can confirm that we do cover "Shoot/Don't Shoot" quite extensively. You just cannot mag dump people in their own homes just because you see a gun and are "scared". That is NOT reasonable

Wrong. That is not the law in Florida. He was also on private property and the police were responding to a call of possible trespassing. They were legally there. They gave lawful commands to him to identify himself as a resident. He refused, got violent and found out.
