I believe it does. It will update during your trip so event if tells you 83% at the beginning of your trip, say you increase your heat (in the winter) or AC in (summer), or you speed up above the average speed limit, that 83% will periodically update to give you a better estimate

Though, Google has always been ahead of Apple in the features and services they can provide. I always thought my Google pixel was much smarter as an OS than my iPhone. Apple excels at making your experience in general more complete and consistence. iOS apps functionality and UX excels. Developers have a tougher crowd to please but at least they know they guarantee a unified experience. Android’s hardware variation makes it very discouraging for me to even create an Android version for my app 🤷‍♂️ Won’t be able to please everyone .. Apple will eventually come around, and deliver with their own way of doing things. Remember how late airdrop came, when everyone else had Bluetooth file transfer for years?
