@LexG_III @sanjmovies I love how you can see a tiny bit of jealousy in fanning’s face like “I was in a Woody Allen Movie! How come I’m not getting an Oscar nom!”

@aelfred_D It’s funny. My kid ordered a poster of Greek gods and I was just thinking that it’s been awhile

@notjessewalker Reminds me of the Nixon story. He got stuck going to a bunch of galas. One was a tribute to someone, a modern take on Faust. He quipped “when I die I want the Lawrence Welk show to do the music”

@Robotbeat I mean if SLS isn’t canceled we won’t see astronauts on the moon until the next presidency at the earliest anyway. It’s a bit depressing how we’re nowhere with the moon and less than nowhere with mars

@neontaster Did the judge not have any friends who were also judges? My neighbor was a judge and the one time someone in my family got called for jury duty, she immediately dismissed them!

Speaking as a lawyer it’s amazing when ppl realize how expensive research tools are. $20K was like a weekly research bill on westlaw for one case when I was at a firm
I understand it is a subscription and taxpayer funds are purchasing a service (a pretty specialized one, which is far better than regular Politico). But people are kinda done with “it’s a $20K subscription. It’s a drop in the bucket. We don’t have to explain it, you rubes.” No, you are in your Explain Yourself Era. If someone I reported on gave me substantial money for subscriptions for my product, I should mention it in said product. And there is something extra galling about the fact that, if you understand Politico Pro, you know that it’s ostensibly a service that tracks the intricacies of a federal government that is so big and complex and out of its lane that people who work IN IT nonetheless need a $10K+ subscription service to decipher it, which they of course pay for with our money. Can’t make it smaller and do less! Gotta add expenses to your bill to understand the leviathan we’ve created and y’all don’t get to be mad. You are indeed getting effed six ways from Sunday. It’s okay to be annoyed.

RT @patrickboegel: Many Internet “news” personalities who were rightly perturbed by the clown car handling of Joe Biden’s slip into dementi…
