There's something I noticed about how Geto treated his daughters vs how he treated Gojo.
Geto didn't ask Gojo to join him. In fact, he gave him the option of killing him.
But with his daughters, he told them to watch closely before demonstrating his gruesome ideology to them.
Yuta and Gojo's relationship is pretty underrated which feels like a shame bc it's so beautiful. Gojo saw Yuta at his lowest point and his suicide attempts and he provided the kid with a reason to live and a more loving environment. He listened to Yuta's struggles and understood-

You keep saying this is your opinion but what exactly is the opinion here? That pink is a bad color? That pink is a "women's color"? That women make pink designs even though there are a lot of designs that are made by women yet aren't pink?
Like this tweet confuses me so much
i do wish we got a lil more of teen nanami because is this the type of thing he says often? you could be like walking with umbrellas during a rainy day and he's like "what if we get struck by lightning?"
i'm so curious
@synth_pigment
I swear to god there was a meme about this dynamic with a tiny person holding a big guy's hand, saying "i will... i will protect you" with teary eyes
I wonder why people froth at the mouth so much at the possibility that Gojo may like women? That doesn't necessarily erase the queerness or make him any less gay. Is it that bad to like women?
Very fascinating that they seem like they switched. Geto used to be the more empathetic one, only to turn into a very obsessive person. Gojo used to lack a sense of empathy, only to end up showing the kids a LOT of compassion.
People may assume that Nanami doesn't tolerate Gojo's antics but considering his other relationships with Haibara, Yuji, and Ino, he actually seems to not mind it most of the time. The way he encouraged Gojo's behavior here is a testament to this, being considerate of Yuji.
@sumuharu
I just don't see the point of sanitising him to such a degree because I don't think Geto even regretted anything he did. Even his dying words were like "I fucking hate monkeys". Just no remorse whatsoever.
Nanami having such bad self esteem that he thinks no one would care if died and then Gojo being so sad because he had such a high opinion of Nanami, believing that he was the type to survive through everything... God I feel sick
I'm not quite sure what to make of it yet, but it's interesting that Gojo got a choice while the girls didn't. I think Geto knew his path would be terrible for Gojo to go on, which is why he didn't want him to join him.
Geto is very appealling to me as a villain character because of the "You become what you hate" aspect. He despised jujutsu society and how it exploits and kills children without regard for their humanity and then proceeds to do the same thing later on.
Gege said he made Nanami part Danish because he thought Danish people care about other people' welfare so imagine Gojo meeting Nanami's maternal family and being shocked at how kind they are. It's such a culture shock compared to his overbearing clan
"nanami is jealous of gojo"
... you mean the one guy who hated jujutsu sorcery so much he tried to escape it and only came back because he hated contributing to capitalism even more? you think he's jealous of Sorcery Jesus?
I feel like no one talks about the inherent tragedy that is Geto's relationship with his daughters because he loved them enough to get them out of the hell they were in but he didn't love them enough to keep them away from the horrors of jujutsu sorcery.
@1lipton_
Well yes that's just what happens when you live in a society with gender roles and stereotypes. People may associate colors with certain genders because of traditions that may not even hold up anymore. Though I'm glad you could clear this up for me I was very confused.
@venoyale
if I use this same logic then that means Jogo's story is actually an allegory for the female experience because he keeps getting harassed and beat up by men more powerful than him and there's no chance of escape, like how society lets women's abuse happen or smth idk
And then compare it to Gojo and Megumi. He explained what Megumi needed to know (minus the "I killed your dad" part) and gave him a choice. When it was clear Megumi wouldn't be happy as a Zenin, Gojo respected his wishes.
him. He helped him through them too, like helping with Rika and finding out his family history. And in turn, Yuta grew to understand Gojo and saw him as an importantfigure in his life.
They make me emotional
I think this gives him another contrast to Gojo. Because of the specific choices he made, Geto put himself in a difficult situation to actually take care of two children without tarnishing their innocence since- well, he's running a cult and murdering people in front of them.
@BaiyueMaowa
I would actually argue that crediting artists makes you look more professional because you cared enough to take the extra step to find the artist and gave credit where its due. That tells me you do thorough research even to the finest details.
I don't think those girls knew what they were in for either. Did Geto already kill people in front of them before he took over the cult? Maybe it was the time he killed the villagers - which, yk, I guess was fine since he had to help them. Unfortunately, then he kept doing it.
@thehorsecharles
men are kinda boring sometimes because what do you mean you only like stories with fighting and dudes in it and refuse to watch anything else?
i need to start keeping track of all the gojo discourses because we had-
"people who love dadjo hcs are just secretly shipping him with minors"
"pointing out gojo's more immature and silly side means you infantilise him and like age play"
and "gojo is a narcissist" in one day
One of the worst ever mischaracterisations I've seen about Nanami was this person saying that he'd be an abusive husband because he's an alcoholic. Like WHAT?? You're saying this about a dude who canonically died before ever laying a disrespectful hand against a woman??
People think Gojo didn't care about his students but I'll always remember him going out of his way to remember the clothes Yuji wore often then customised his uniform to match that. That wasn't necessary for him to do in the slightest yet he did it anyway.
@V4MPGET0
I just want consistency like if you hate the fangirls then you better be going 50x harder on the weirdos that make thirst tweets about maki or the ones saying "groom me, mei mei"
It actually does make me feel a little bad to see slander towards Gojo stans because it's usually Gojo stans that care the most about his character writing as far as I've seen. They're the people who'd write essays about him but get reduced to horndogs by dudebros
I don't want to be too harsh on Geto stans because I'm one lol but some people just try way too hard to assert that he's this symbol of feminism and queerness as a way to shield him from all hate
Me: I'm not a gjhm shipper
Also me: anyway gojohime but they're cats. Catoru has a crush on the pretty black cat who wears bows a lot that lives across the street but always hisses when he gets close
It's still kinda crazy that people were making a big deal out of calling Gojo by his first name
Like what if "Satoru" just sounds cuter huh?? Not like dude would mind it either... He's dead
@neuvillotters
Seeing how the npcs are designed, I wonder if higher ups made them change the designs of the playables. I know a character designer had described events like this happening where the higher ups are almost always the ones dictating the final outcome.
@exploccino
And then his fans would be like:
ShotoLover1989 (20m)
UHM what happened to ACAB you guys...? God forbid you hate on a cop these days
[190❤️]
@VoltivEmmi
@dabblednink
Yes. And even if you do support women creators, I think it's still valid to be frustrated by the lack of content *about* women and not just *by* women. Women also deserve to be the stars of their own stories.
"What are you, an old military general?" Nanami says as he watches Gojo work hours late into the night. He sighed. It reminded him of his days back as a salaryman, working long hours woth no end in sight.
He knew full well it must've been even more brutal for Gojo.
Remember when people were saying "Geto is female rage because his story represents the disillusionment women go through"?
Well get ready for a new release of "Geto is actually a female because yin and yang"
I wonder how Gojo felt about the whole situation with Ui Ui... Like... If he wants to protect the young and Ui Ui is definitely being exploited, how come he hasn't done anything about his situation? Was his need for Mei Mei's assistance THAT necessary that he can't save him?
Nanago au where Gojo is grieving Nanami's death so he tries to message Nanami that he misses him and is shocked to see a reply from him, "Gojo-san?"
He can't believe someone actually answered. Did someone steal his phone? But every message just seemed so much like him.
@catboykomaba
it feels like the standards for fem characters are so high because you'll see loads of fanfics for male characters that didn't even make an appearance in the source material yet people will be like "er i dont really like female characters because they're not written well!🤓☝️"
"Nanami is a loser-" THAT'S YOUR FAVE'S FAVE
His ass praises the dude like his life depends on it.
"Nanami here is really reliable"
"Nanami, you're actually really compassionate"
"Nanami, let's go out together!"
"Nanami seems like the type of guy who could survive anything"
Tip for new rarepair shippers: Unfortunately when you're a fan of something less popular than [popular mlm ship], it's recommended not to look at the comments of a video for ships that aren't [popular mlm ship] because they are almost always like this
And because he led them down a terrible path, the twins wound up dying at the hands of Sukuna - who believes love is worthless.
God they make my heart hurt.
geto and nanami are two characters i genuinely wish interacted more because we saw them together in the scene with haibara's death and both were deeply affected by it. i feel like the two contrast in such an interesting way because they're two people that witnessed the cruelties-
how can you call other people delusional when your understanding of the character that's part of your ship is like this...?
like did they forget the entire context for everything that led to the higher ups being killed? not only that but calling gojo narcissistic???
Like people are trying to say that Gojo is actually this toxic dude who uses women for his own gain just to fit their idea of him being strictly gay for Geto and I just can't help but wonder if people really have some sort of grudge against women being anywhere near Gojo
It really is a shame that Nobara and Gojo didn't have many interactions because I feel that Nobara's strong sense of self would be something Gojo would like, seeing how he struggles with his identity beyond being the strongest.
