The Claire pov novels are great because we get to see exactly when she fell for Rae, and the answer is BASICALLY IMMEDIATELY
She’d literally met the girl one time and Misha noted to Claire how invested she was (wink wink). She’s down HORRIBLE for tomboys.
It should be pointed out that at this point in the Claire POV spinoff novels, she is already going through a bit of a crisis about her sexuality and starting to see Rae differently. The anime really captures that well here, I love the blushing.

My potentially hot take for yuri is that, unless asexuality is being dealt with (which I LOVE please do that more), almost every single yuri should to some degree involve the girls being some level of horny for each other. How much depends on the tone, but at LEAST a bit.
Is it weird I just automatically care less about any romance manga/anime/anything that doesn’t deal with sex at all? Not everything needs explicit scenes, but you could at least acknowledge it.
