Thats not even remotely true. It was about 900,000 barrels per day out of a market that's doing 100 million barrels per day. It would have affected supply by about 1 %. Just for reference, the price of oil moved more than 2% yesterday.

Oil is a global commodity. They were cheaper under Trump because demand fell off a cliff during covid. The fact of the matter is that US crude production is at an all time high, and has very little to do with the president and more to do with OPEC.
