How does transferring the entirety of the energy from a collision through the faux-exoskeleton skin directly to the soft meatbag passengers confer "safety"?
aka, tell me you don't understand how physics works without, etc, etc.

unless it's agreed to beforehand, eg, "hey, we're thinking about doing something a little nicer than usual, you guys mind chipping in?" then feel free to roast them till the end of days

Much respect to Kate Cox for both pushing the issue, and then for getting the hell out of dodge to receive the appropriate care for her situation.

I legit love this goal.
I grew up in NJ, home of some of the world's best diners (and by best, I mean those that fit your description to a tee).
The chunky mugs that really only hold a half cup of coffee, hence the constant refills. The eggs/pancakes/(I prefer

Had the same thing happen to me last week! Gave our server a high five for the solid assist.
This is how my 8yo and 5yo wanted to dress to go out to dinner w/ grammy, btw 🤣

you can't be this dim, can you?
the original post implied that the cybertruck's lack of deformation made it "safe". and that the ram's crumple zones made it "weak".
my post was making the point that the lack of deformation in the cybertruck would transfer more of that

Def appreciate how to the point and plain spoken s/he was. "If this, then that" with an overall message of, "we'll get through this together, and will help in any way necessary to make it happen"
I can get behind that

racecars have roll cages, well, crap...you need help with this part? in case of a...roll. yay!
and by and large, "racecars" with roll cages also require 5pt harnesses (depending on organizing body, classes, etc). and with

some of it can. the original post was implying that the cybertruck was "safe" because it didn't deform.
i'm saying that's an ignorant way to look at it. because, while some of the energy gets absorbed, not all of it can. so what isn't absorbed by the cybertruck's rear end is

That voice. And the joy on her face tonight. Thanks for gracing us with this another time, Tracy Chapman. It means so much, to so many, in such varying ways. Thank you.

using your current state's driver's license manual as reference we find that school crossing guards are considered "traffic control devices" - exactly the same as traffic lights and law enforcement.

Ha, I bought 2 Panasonic units off of amazon. Had a local HVAC company install them. They had to come back out once to retighten a fitting and recharge. One has been going strong for 8+ years. The other for 5+.

I love that we, as Americans, have finally found our voice and are willing and able to stand up and fight for what's right, fair, and just. I'm overwhelmed to see cities around the world stand up in solidarity.

Quasi-related: Wearing a mask was a signal that one was taking the issue seriously. It's now a show of solidarity against the Trump administration's shitshow of a response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Totally fair. I'll stand by my high school level understanding of physics, while you wait with your admittedly funny barb, for...what, exactly? How will the official safety scores prove and/or disprove my original post?
The joke was spot on, but the appeal to authority? Meh

I've got an 8yo and 5yo. Whenever we travel and need to rent a car, I try and get a minivan whenever I can, if only to prove to my wife how practical they are.

Costco's base octanes might start out exactly the same as the next station's, but their proprietary additive mix has hints of black cherries, charred oak, and something quite earthy, likely spring moss which creates a very pleasing bouquet, and that's what really sets them apart.

I also hate that this significant, important, moment in history runs parallel to a legit global pandemic. Because they're inextricably linked. And
