This is very wrong. Chennai crowd supports the teams which play good cricket. They cheered when Buttler made 50 against CSK in Chepauk (CSK v RR 2023), they cheered when Stoinis won the match (LSG vs CSK) they cheered when Maharaj finished the match against Pak (2023 WC)
