In today's episode of "How stupid am I?" On the rare occasion I remembered to take my own carrier bag to the supermarket, I then proceeded to scan it through the self service check out, charging myself for my own bag 🙄😂

Very proud of my Dad's wife who's joining @dignityindying in Parliament again today to continue fighting for a change in the law around assisted dying. Palliative care DOES NOT work for all (my Dad included) and people who are suffering should be entitled to end of life choice.

For those that have followed this drama that Eastenders would be proud of; after miscarriage, her Dad's suicide, her partner walking out and family landlords not supporting her, my sister gave birth to 6lb 9oz Ava yesterday. So proud of her, and love this little girl to bits 🥰

The Supreme Court has refused permission to bring Noel Conway's case to a full hearing. Noel’s case will proceed no further. We will now turn our attention back to Parliament and demonstrate to MPs the strength of support for assisted dying.

So much this. Palliative care is put on a pedestal as being an end of life solve all. For some people that simply isn't true. It's not the fault if the nurses, but we need to acknowledge that, for some, palliative care does not equal a pain free and comfortable death.

This is so true. A doctor's duty of care should be to alleviate suffering. Where death is inevitable, and with the correct procedures in place and the explicit will of the patient, assisting them to a peaceful death should be an option; especially when pain cannot be controlled.

"By the time you watch this I will have died." Paola knew she was facing a painful death. Our cruel law forced her to travel alone to Dignitas, before she was ready to die, to ensure she was well enough to get there. This is inhumane. Change the law.

Started wearing my specs again a couple of weeks ago. I do like a bit of face furniture, even if they highlight my "laughter lines" but, the reason was in prep for brow microblading, so I could hide the scabby healing rather than work colleagues thinking I've got leprosy.
