Super proud of this boy, chucked football altogether few years ago, during covid, battled back to play for the strongest u20s in Scotland last season, far higher level than given credit for. Signed by Gala and looking for him to go out on loan to get regular game time.
#prouddad
Young keepers need to play...step back to move forward
Game time is more important than who or where you play.
Read about "ghost" goalies, mid 20s and haven't even got double figures in games...their development stopped the minute their egos took over....I'm on the bench for...

Where in the government restrictions does it state you cannot travel between NHS regions? FM stated that we could still travel on holiday, this nonsense is at the door of
@ScottishFA
Tomorrow is his final game of his first season in senior football.
A bag of mixed emotions, ups and downs, and then ups again,
#1
Massive learning curve.
Bring on next season, whatever that may bring, stronger, fitter, faster and experienced.
2 games left this week, Wed and Sat. Win both and a respectable 6th place finish. Lot of injuries and suspensions when he joined in Feb, still a few injuries.
Main thing for him was game time and experience,
With one eye on next season, who knows what's in store for him
Season ends with a good victory...
20+ senior games across Lowland and Wosfl in his first season at senior level. Not bad for an 18 yo!
Bounced back from every set back he's had, incl a preseason fracture in his foot.
Proud of him!!

Why should RFC pay for a new pitch? Justify that when SFA rented the stadium out for 2 Pink concerts damaging the pitch! If im renting a facility from someone its the landlords responsibility to ensure that facility is up to scratch, not the incoming tenant, chancing bleeps
Difficult first half of the season for him...now established as first choice and with only 3 games left....who knows what next season will bring?
Keep believing
Game of two halves, wind playing havoc for both teams.
Still it's good to see him back playing...pulling off a brilliant 1 v 1 save in second half to keep them in it , before running out of steam. Be good to see them with the injured and suspended players back , hopefully next wk
My favourite pic of him this past season...he's smiling!
Time to move forward, onwards and upwards, as they say.
He's already looking and working towards next season, keeping himself fit and sharp.
Giving himself every opportunity to get off to a flyer, wherever he ends up!?
@AboutScotlandd
Reduce to 2 leagues of properly funded FT clubs, then pyramid structure below, introduce 20s, 23s and reserve leagues. Scrap syfa and bring all youth football under CAS or similar, regional development with paid national coaches, with proper advancement structure within

A top session 🔥 🧤
✍️ After a few false starts this season, had a few good games recently.
Was outstanding on Saturday v
@KWosfl9673
despite the result, in a good competitive game.
But I am biased 😉
Now to cement No1 till end of season, keep his match fitness up and see what next year brings.
Very true...GK play on confidence and only a run of games builds confidence.
For any manager to leave a young GK out after a mistake causes a lot more damage to that young GK.
It's poor, very poor, management and my advice to any young player,GK or outfielder, get away asap
ALL GKs make mistakes.
But the younger ones are usually taken out the team a lot sooner to be ‘protected’.
Sometimes it does more harm than good.
Watch how they react from that moment & through the week up until the next game.
They might be more determined than ever.

Get over yerselves, ffs, it's a bit of harmless fun that the kids love. Too many text book coaches, no wonder the game in this country is screwed.
As for being used in PE it's part of the educational curriculum to teach them about fitness.
@OfficialCColts
Finally recognising this group of players. Politics is a messy business.
Semi finals and finals and no one representing the club to support the boys playing in your jerseys.
Well done to the coaches and boys for rising above and delivering first call football
Academy success is NOT winning a development under 18s league, it is seeing a 17yr old on loan
@BanburyUnitedFC
scoring & a 19 yr old scoring
@OUFCOfficial
to help secure League One football. Also international call ups and thousands of mins in the 1st team this season

Nearly 9 years ago, saved 2 penalties that day for Accies, to win both his games v Rangers
Some things never change… he loves a wee penalty save still 😁
@BMCRangersRants
There isn't a pass on for him. Lifts head, gestures with hand, but aye it's him that's at fault. He's by no means perfect, but there was nothing in front of him all night. No width from midfield or front line

Development over badge...
The boy did listen after all, took a while to sink in, but he now gets it.
Learn the game, practice and get better
New beginnings just around the corner
Now Official, on loan to Forth Wanderers FC, kicking off with a wee Jaunt down to Wigtown on Saturday....there was me thinking my long drives were over lol
@SouthLanCouncil
How did you investigate it, seriously?
No idea if there is or isn't adders in EK but it's a bit disingenuous to come out with a statement like this!
Nothing more disheartening for coaches than half a squad not showing up for training...can't prepare sessions or work on anything.
Too many players not getting a chance elsewhere, and then you have this scenario.
No train no play imho, supposed to be semi pro. Unbelievable
@robpowellnews
What about
@rishisunak
changing the rules on furlough for TUPE employees, could it have anything to do with his father in law taking over a business that the 28th Feb cut off date affected?
#newstarterfurlough
2023 full of highs, undefeated in league, cup final lost on pens. Snr debut for Gala at Kelty Hearts, competitive debut for
@fairydeanrovers
in pic. Massive thanks to them for having the belief in him, and kind words from manager when he left. 2024 New Start, onwards and upwards
@johnwalker_1986
Simple pass was to Gilmour then to LB. Point I was trying to make, the run from Gilmour and dink is what is coached, overcoached imo, as is most things in Scotland! Text book coaching has taken over from coaching the natural ability. Snr game is boring to watch now because of it
A long drive to Wigtown, positive result, but understandably rusty, 15 mins game time since injury and only 1 GK session...still 4-1 victory away from home, take that
Today, our u16 keeper, conceded 7, none his fault. Tipped a worldy FK onto the bar and away, for the cameras😉However, I am far more proud of his consistent kicking, calm & good decision making, confidence in punching and catching in a crowded box & quick wall building

@themoderndaygk
No doubt a former outfield player with no clue about GK. Man management certainly not a strong point either, infact I'd say the manager is a bit of a can't. His job is to support ALL his players, especially when they know they've made a mistake, not bloody highlight it. Eejit
I wonder how a manager would react if he sent a player a message, 4/5 days later player hasn't even read the message, never mind respond?
Yet you have a manager who has done just that, failed to read, never mind respond, totally ignorant!....
1 rule for 1....

Played some good football, some excellent goals... Colts are a poor excuse for a team compared to last seasons invincibles!
Why are Child protection officers employed by clubs/organisations when their job is to protect the child? Vast majority I have encountered fail to realise what their job is actually about due to whom pays their wages
@markhamblin1972
Hollow promises....can totally empathise.
They wonder why good young players are lost to the game.
The lies and bull my son has had to tolerate in last few months, Karma is gonna be busy this year .
