This will be a great round table. So many brilliant thinkers about history education all together.

Most state schools don’t have either classics or Latin on their curriculum so the future careers for these classics teachers will most likely be in independent schools. Which makes the £25000 bursary for ancient languages even more confusing.

what does Ofsted mean when it says that children in the early years can 'sit like a scholar'? what is sitting like a scholar? where can i learn how to sit like a scholar? which 3 year old can teach me how to sit like a scholar?

@JoeEHanley @apf102 Also I’m still working out network analysis as a method. What I find worrying is that these are the links that are documented and so much of the network is not visible or documented.

@JoeEHanley @apf102 I’ve actually mapped out the networks! It’s more a solar system that orbits around teach first, ambition, oak and NIOT.

@apf102 I think the phrase ‘expressed a need to strengthen’ is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. Can you strengthen something that is absent?

@JoeEHanley @apf102 Twistelton wasnt on the advisory group listed in the framework. The only person from HEI for ECF was Becky Francis, then UCL who now leads the EEF. But may have been involved as a wider advisory not listed.

@Janroweljmu @rrunsworth @apf102 So completely independent evaluation then? I’m just waiting for them to be announced as director of another new government funded institute or organisation.
