📢 Introducing Croissant Guaranteed Buybacks
👉
The stuff you buy has value beyond the point of purchase and Croissant's Guaranteed Buybacks ensure that your purchases retain their worth.
Croissant’s Guaranteed Buybacks are exactly what they sound like —
Building an event-driven, serverless platform in AWS using the CDK.
Cognito, AppSync, Single Table DDB, Event Bridge.
This is the best stack I’ve ever worked with.

Ok tech twitter, I need to build docs.
What are ya'll using?
I want ...
- search
- main navbar on left

- content in markdown (i think?)
Honestly any tips here are appreciated.
🚨 Huge announcement for me!
I was accepted to be a learning facilitator for a MERN boot camp starting in August!
I'm so excited to help people looking to step into software development!
I’m convinced that reading oss is the best way to learn
I just read through a ton of
@unkeydev
and learned …
- pnpm workspaces
- drizzle and planetscale
- trpc and next 14
- multi tenant on clerk
- tailwind and radix-ui
And there’s still so much to read 👇
Looking to understand DynamoDB Single Table design?
I've been watching from
@alexbdebrie
I've been normalizing data models for 10 years now, even with DDB (multi-table design). This stuff is mind-blowing.
⚡ The AWS SDK is incredibly powerful.
🤔 But how can I use it when practicing test-driven development?
👇 Learn how to use Jest to fake out the AWS SDK and assert your way to cleaner code!
Junior devs, landing that first job in tech is in part a numbers game.
Assume a 10% conversion rate ...
You need to apply to 100 positions to get 10 interviews!
Don't stress too much about the job spec.
The goal right now is to get as many interviews as possible.

Today was a day. I woke up thinking it'd be a normal Friday. Was I wrong ...
Danny asked me to join a Twitter Space, mind you my first one ever, to offer advice to aspiring junior developers.
When Danny asks, you answer 🤣
Thanks for the follow,
@DThompsonDev
AWS Folks ...
For scheduling tasks in a Serverless, EDA where 100% punctuality is not needed.
Do you go with DDB TTL -> Lambda
Or Event Bridge Scheduler?

@monzo
Just gotta say, this is how interviewing should be done.
Kudos to you and your team for putting so much effort and empathy into this process!

Boot camp instructor here.
Biggest piece of advice I give to help improve this.
Think T shaped. Career changers have real-world experience. Real estate, restaurant business, teacher? All are industries needing engineers. Use your past when building your future!
🤔 Have you tried

I've been talking about our journey a lot over the past year! 🧵👇
A conversation that just happened.
Developer: "I have this method that is hard to test. How would you test this?"
Me: "Delete it and write a failing test."
Developer: "Stop being a troll."
Deep breaths...
🤔 Are you a junior engineer breaking into tech?
Do you have questions like ...
🛠️ What's it like to build software professionally?

☀️ TWEEKLY Spotlight ☀️
@TreciaKS
In this TWEEKLY Spotlight, I caught up with Trecia Kat. Trecia is an advocate for CSS, TypeScript, JavaScript, NextJS, blogger, and a dog lover!
@adamdotdev
i'm tellin ya people
a team all writing typescript
infra, mobile, web, lambda handlers
all moving in and out of parts of the stack
that's where the 10x really is
@dabit3
It's so frustrating. I've had to leave jobs ~4 times in my 10-year career to get any significant increase. Each time I asked for the raise before putting in my notice. Each time was rejected. Each time was countered to stay.
The whole salary negotiation system is broken.
Interested in event-driven infrastructure but struggling on where to start? 🤔
I have a blog series on using the
#aws
Cloud Development Kit (CDK) to build event-driven solutions using
✅ Lambda
✅ S3
✅ DynamoDB
✅ SNS
✅ SQS
Check it out 👇
This
@nextjs
release is going to be 🔥
- New app root
- Folders define route segments
- layout.tsx defines a layout at any route segment and will nest
- page.tsx defines the page at any route segment
- react server components
Sharing an update on the
@nextjs
Layouts RFC this week.
Working on an early demo with all the good stuff: Nested layouts and routes, Server Components, and all the React 18 goodies like `startTransition`.
Most excited I’ve been about Next.js since I started using it tbh.
i've been seeing a "guestbook" feature on personal sites and decided to implement it using Supabase for auth + db
here's a step-by-step blog on how to do this on your own Next.js app
Here's something I've recently realized ... 🤔
Follows aren't a form of currency.
They are used to curate your personal feed.
Someone choosing not to follow you does not invalidate your message.
I'm thankful for the real connections I'm making with people 🙏
Hi all. I know I've been a bit MIA.
Between work, boot camp teaching and vacation I just need to take a beat.
Will keep y'all posted.
Keep being awesome tech Twitter✌️
@TheJackForge
Try to have a different Outlook here Jack. This move probably wasn't about Power. Point your energy towards more Access and help this person Excel! Keep spreading the Word brother.
Clippy.
I don't know how I missed this...
But
@ASpittel
recently followed me!
Huge fan of Ali's work with AWS Amplify.
If you are using AWS, make sure you give Ali a follow.
