in 1899, John Barbirolli was born!
Appointed Principal Conductor of the Hallé in 1943, he said "I have been entrusted with a very great mission… that this great orchestra shall not, under my guidance, achieve less honour in the future than it has done in the past."
As a gift to our wonderful supporters, the Hallé is thrilled to announce a specially recorded Christmas Concert, in association with long-term sponsors
@Brother_UK
The concert will be available for free on YouTube from 12pm on 20 December.
