I don’t think many are debating that point, but in resource limited setting I’m using POCUS as a means to assist in my eval further. Keep in mind we can also look for other concerning signs (e.g. pulmonary contusion, pneumo, etc.

Live and work near this area. We could see a near immediate benefit of vaccination and then the public stopped getting vaccinated. However, they didn’t stop going out and went fully back to pre-COVID social norms (decreased wandwashing, nobody wearing masks, handshaking, etc).

The “Practice of Medicine is exclusive to DOs & MDs”...really? So then what are PAs doing? What about physicians across the world with other degrees such as MBBS? This is poorly worded and disappointing from a professional.

ED pericardiocentesis for tamponade. Apical approach had best pocket + good distance away from lung edge. In-plane off lateral edge of phased array. 300mL drained without complications; significant improvement in vitals and shock index. #FOAMed

@PracticalPOCUS @RespRate16 @bryanboling @CCMNP @np_chat @CardioNP @concernecus @critconcepts Since it was asked above, I use a wide variety of devices including @SonoSite, @GEHealthcare, @ButterflyNetInc, and @PhilipsLumify to name a few. Each have their pros and cons but having a device you can literally carry with you makes a huge difference.
