My husband and I had this debate recently. I’m team potluck. They are inexpensive, stress-free, and they bring people together for fellowship. Plus, as a wife and mother, I just love to see and taste and ask about what others are making in their own kitchens.
Nobody actually likes potlucks right?
We tolerate them, sure. We participate even. But like them? Nahhhhh. I refuse to believe this.

Our son, Walter, was baptized today. We are so thankful to God that he has trusted in Jesus!
This is one of the sweetest pictures I’ve ever had taken in my ministry. The look on this young man’s face as I ask him at his baptism about his profession in Jesus as his Savior is precious.

My 9 year old came home from a local VBS that they attend every year and the first thing he said was, “Momma, they gave us a bracelet that says Jesus is my BFF. He’s not my BFF! He’s my savior and Lord!”. He thought it was irreverent to refer to Jesus in that way. I love that kid

The president of the SBC called our pastor the “master of reckless accusations.” 😡 No, he’s just one of the few out there holding you accountable. I don’t really understand why we are even still in the SBC, but while we are I’m glad Tom won’t let these abuses go.
The standard for a credible accusation was adopted at last year’s annual meeting. It’s available for anyone to read. Dr. Patterson was never even accused of abusing anyone sexually, much less “credibly accused.”

I’m not the communicator that ABS is, but even I could preach a better sermon than many men. That’s not me bragging, that’s actually a rebuke for the men who preach unsound theology. Preaching a sermon, however, doesn’t make you a pastor and I’m not qualified to do either.
